HP Probook 6470b/Elitebook 8470p Performance Optimizations?

So, I have what started as a scapped Probook 6470b that I bought a new motherboard, cpu, ram and storage for. It has the board out of an Elitebook 8470p with the QM77 chipset and dedicated HD 7570M 1GB GDDR5 graphics. The cpu went from a 35w i5 3320m to a 45w i7 3610QM after updating the bios to F74. 16GB of DDR3-1600. A 240GB SSD and a 2TB Hybrid drive for storage. To deal with the increased heat, I dremeled out holes on the bottom panel for the ram and a huge chunk for the heatsink and fan to breathe in. Most of the time, I keep it on a cooling pad that has a pair of 120mm fans. To help pull air into the fin stack, since the stock fan is pretty pathetic at 100%, I got one of those vacuum style fans that goes over the exhaust vent. The gpu is oc'd as far as it'll go without artifacting, a whopping 625mhz on the core and 1000mhz on the ram. I don't think I can get much more out of it spec wise but I was wondering if there was any way to use Throttlestop, or something similar, force all of the cores to run at the max turbo of 3.3ghz rather than 3.1ghz. Aside from that, the only thing I haven't done is get a USB 3.0 express card upgrade, which would be super nice for my external storage. As limp as the onboard gpu is, its not bad for older games and some indy games but sometimes I feel like I could use a bit more gpu. Sucks there isn't a board revision that has an MXM slot for a stubby gpu. I bet old Quadros are pretty cheap and would have been an easy way to get more gpu grunt on the cheap.

 

@Troika - For the 3610QM, the maximum multiplier when 3 or 4 cores are active is 31 so your maximum speed is ~ 3100 MHz.

So there isn't a way to force the max multiplier across all cores? I kinda expected that but I hoped there was a way to get a bit more performance. Oh well I suppose. Still, I wouldn't be surprised that I've maxed out the performance of this laptop. I suppose the only way I could get more out of it is with some sort of a janky mini pci-e to X16 slot or express card to X16 adapter to use a external gpu. It certainly is something I'm interested in trying. I have a few spare gpus I'd love to test with. Are there any decent guides to follow on how to set that sort of thing up? I'd assume it isn't as straight forward as it sounds.
