    HP RANT...just a warning! AVOID HP PRODUCTS!

    :mad:I USED to like HP products and customer service. As of now I will NEVER purchase an HP product again! I paid way too much in June 2013 for an HP Business ProBook with Win 7. Week one the touchpad was insane...all over the place or barely responsive. After countless tries (reinstalled driver, etc) and doing everything techs said, it STILL would not work consistantly. They said to uninstall Win 7, take it back to factory settings! ARRGH! Still no avail. And PIA.
    THEN, week 7-8, the KEYS starting losing symbols! Rubbing OFF! HP tells me this "might NOT be covered under warranty" (???!!!) BUT that I had to send it to them! I cannot take it to a local HP repair to have it covered under warranty. I have to send it in. So 15 days ago I sent it in the box provided, and never a word. Not one. No acknowlegement they received the machine, nada. I had to jump through hoops and countless depts to "find" my laptop and request some sort of "status". And guess what! "Pending" is ALL they can tell me. TWO weeks and "pending"? So...buyer beware! Warranties and HP mean nothing. That's it for me with HP. Useless customer service and junk products. Consider yourselves warned.
    IF I ever get it back, it's on Craig's List asap.

    Edit to update: NOW it has been 20 days HP has had my "new" laptop, and NO RESPONSE to my inqueries on where it is, what's being done, how much longer, ETC. I FINALLY got hold of someone and she said it would be "accelerated" and I'd receive an email from HP explaining everything within 24 hours...HA! That was 3 days ago! No email, no calls, NADA. Do not know what to do at this point.
