    Hello,
I will be grateful if you terminate someone who already has zbooka because I am interested in working culture of this laptop ...
As far as the noise is coming out on average in tests against the competition (W540, M4800), while in other matters, in my opinion wins ...
    Thanks in advance.

I had a chance to play with a Zbook 15 back in November for about a week.

The noise level is acceptable for the performance level. Under load expect 45dB with a 4800MQ/K1100M, potentially more if you get a higher spec. This is inline with W540/M4800 from competitors.

While idling you have two different ways you can go. It has an option to leave the fan on always at the lowest speed, so if you have tasks you are doing that spike the processor often but not constantly then it might be more pleasurable compared to having the fan turn on and off each time.

I will also add that the 7200rpm HDD is very audible at the lowest fan setting. If you care about noise level then consider getting an SSD as primary storage, because they are silent.

You can read this detailed review over at Notebook Check for more information. Hope this helps!

    Thank you for the information.
In the idle without power continuous operation of the fan is quiet?
Do the fans turn on at any higher load, for example by opening several tabs in Chrome?

It depends on what is going on in the tabs in Chrome. I think the heatsinks can only passively dissipate about 10-15W. So if you sustain over 20% load on the processor or run something that turns on the dedicated GPU then the fan will turn on to deal with the increased heat. With the fan always on while plugged in the threshold is much higher. More importantly the processor can utilize turboboost for short periods of time without needing to increase the fan speed.

I am a proud owner of the HP ZBook 15, Core i7-4800MQ, 8GB RAM, 256GB SSD, Quadro K2100M

I added 32GB Corsair DDR3L-1600CL9 memory (a little tricky with the keyboard),

during surfing you cant hear the fan,
with load you can hear the fan of course - but it will go fast down so you cant hear it.

On full load with Prime95 you hear the fan but in my opinion its very "ok"

i ordered a original HP Wlan card with AC and a Hard Drive Bay for the DVD-ROM - thinking about to buy a samsung mSATA SSD with 1TB.

BTW: is there no Zbook 15 Owners Thread?

Start one - someone needs to. Trying to decide on one & hoping the IPS dream color is better than the previous version I returned.
