    hey all,

i just did a clean install on my 4330s and i cant seem to get my bluetooth drivers to work.

im reinstalling on another hdd so i have the original win7 install to refer to. i want to make sure all is good before i wipe the original drive.

the original install shows 'Atheros Bluetooth bus' but when i try to install the Atheros driver, it doesnt work. the bluetooth gets a question mark. i tried the 'update driver' from the properies but that didnt do anything. it never does but thought id try.

its the final driver i have to get working and then she is all golden!

    any suggestions?

Did you backup the swsetup folder? You can use that to reinstall the drivers, and use the support assistant to get all the updates.

i did back up the swsetup folder and i was installing manually (i have done reinstalls on a few different systems).

do you know if the support assistant gives me control on what i want to reinstall? i hate all the bloatware that comes with this machine.

In the swsetup folder, there is an appinstall. This wil let you choose which drivers and oem apps/extras you want to use. I generally just install the drivers, default settings, windows 7 updates, support assistant, software framework, and the uefi bios and diagnostic tools. The reason I install the support assistant is because it makes oem driver updates much easier.
