I am trying to source a 3-cell battery for my 2540p. It lists it on HP uk spec's, but not as a buyable accessory.

My Q. Can you actually get a 3-cell battery for this model and if so, what is the hp part number?

    TIA, Steve.

wow this one was a toughie.

go to the parts surfer, and enter this code: 593584-001 (Note do not click on the 593584-001N)

This one is not cheap, but it is orderable in the UK Region - as stated here:

HP Parts Store - HP Computer Parts - HP Printer Parts - Compaq Parts

This one is labelled as being for the Elitebook 2540p - there is another 3Cell battery, which isn't however.

    Hope this helps :)
