    Hello guys,
After two years of great experience with this laptop time has come for me to upgrade. I was wondering if someone here could tell me what better Graphic card is possible to use on the 8770W and eventually what cpu upgrade can I consider.
I also do a lot of gaming, so I was really hoping to get a GPU that can do the job with new games.

A little bump after 3 months! Come on guys, I really need to upgrade this laptop and just need to know what's
possible to do! What's best graphic card and cpu I can get for this being sure it will work?
The K3000M is not giving me great result even in an old game like WOW and always is at 75 to 80 degrees (C).
I wish it would be possible to have 4K output. But I don't think this is possible with this laptop anyway :(

970m/980m is great for gaming. Get a clevo version and you are fine. i7 3rd gen QM is sufficient in most cases so you dont really need to upgrade the cpu.

Thank you very much for your response :) Have you tried that card yourself or do you have an idea what kind of temperature I
will reach with this? Do you have by any chance a link to were I can buy one! You can pm me this :) (if u have this info)!
Also one other little question: You have the K5000M. So can you please tell me to what temperature it goes under high load ?

K5000M is not hot at all ( max temp <80C after hours of gaming or extended valley benchmark run).

970m and 980m clevo version will almost for sure work (and have lower temp than k5000m/k5100m) but I haven't tried those myself. The DC version 8770w might have grayscale problems in certain games as seen with my 8740w when using 980m. So there is a bit of risk going for 970m/980m. Alternatively you can wait for M4000M or M5000M (the professional version of 970m/980m) which have full support for 10bit display.

There are 970ms selling on ebay (~450USD). If you have a tight budget, k5000m is also a good option (not to 970m level but it is much more powerful than the k3000m, 1344 vs 576 cores). I got mine for 180usd from ebay.

I was just looking at this.

As the new Zbook shows 3000m - 5000m....

This is not the same as the current K3100m. The 3000m is less then half the speed.... what is going on here? K3100m is able to play all new games at medium - high .. .and now we get this new quadro that is more then 2x slower?

have they abandoned the K series?

The new Zbook probably uses M5000M - M3000M which would be much faster than K3100M.

The specs for the G3 showed the Mx000M GPU's.
We have to wait and see how much more powerful they are compared to the Kx100M's with similar specs they will use a lot less power.
