I bought a HP NC8000 from ebay without hard drive and power cord.
Where is the best place to buy power cord?
    How about those universal chargers?

I have IDE 2.5 80gb hard drive, will this fit the BC8000?
Will Windows 7 run on this computer?

To find a power cord, search for one of these HP part numbers: 239704-001 (65W) or 239705-001 (90W).

The 80GB hard drive should fit in the nc8000 (you may have to use the existing caddy to properly enclose and mount the drive) .

The nc8000 may not run Windows 7 very well or at all -- it depends on how much RAM is installed.

Any IDE 2.5" drive will fit this model, replacement ac adapters are common place on ebay, mainly 18.5v 3.5a which should work fine

As the previous poster mentioned ensure you have the caddy for the hard drive also
