Any other HP Revolve 810 owners out there get annoyed by their fans? A little research on the net shows that some units are affected others not. Can anyone confirm they have a fairly silent unit?

If so I will track down a new fan assembly and replace.

    Thanks!

A bit late to reply... but yes, many are annoyed:
HP Revolve 810; Noisy Fan? - HP Enterprise Business Community

I've had Revolve 810 G1 for some months now. First the keyboard was skipping characters in all conditions -> laptop replaced by HP. Then started the fan issues, sometimes it makes a chainsaw sort of noises right after powering on. The fan is very keen on spinning even when the load is low, and depending on the angle on the laptop, it sounds like there is sand in the fan... I've been trying to put up with it so that I'd not have to send it back to repairs again, but looks like I cannot stand it much longer.

Somebody on that HP forum thread said the fan unit was replaced which made it silent, hoping for the same treatment.

For best results instead of sending it somewhere (usually to service point in Poland or similar I think) for repairs, drop it off at one of the official service partners personally if possible. That way you can make sure service personnel understands the issue instead of blowing dust off the fan or something similar.
