So, some may know that the two options for screens on our Zbook 14's are either a 14" FHD UWVA(1920 x 1080) screen or a 14" HD+ touch (1600 x 900) screen. I'm actually using the second one to type this, right now. And I really like my Zbook as configured, as I wanted a business-class notebook with touch and discrete graphics, which left most contenders out of the ring. However, compared to some of the very nice 3200x1800 screens coming out, the 1600x900 is feeling a bit old. I still love the laptop, but can't leave well enough alone and was wondering if anyone else had toyed with the idea of lifting the digitizer off the HD+ screen and slipping the FHD screen in place? I've not checked entirely the compatibility, but would this be possible? I'm thinking with a replacement FHD screen on some time, it could be done, but if anyone has taken one of these apart, I'd love to hear about it.
