The link you gave is broken. Also, you didn't specify which OS you will be using, so I can't tell you exactly which driver files you will need. Generally speaking, however, you will need these drivers for any laptop:
    --Graphics
    --Sound
    --Wireless
    --Ethernet
    --Touchpad
--(HP laptops only) HP QuickLaunch Buttons
--Modem (if you still use one :p)
    --Card readers (PCMCIA, SD, etc.)
--Chipset (often already installed with OS)

Generally, you don't need worry about updating the BIOS unless there are certain OS compatibility enhancements with the BIOS. If something goes wrong with a BIOS update, you could be left with a giant paperweight for a laptop.

    Hope this helps!
