Why does GPU-z report the M7820 in 8740w as a PCIe 1.1 x16 card, rather than a 2.0 x16? This is both with the card in idle and under stress. Any idea?

I checked the owners' threads but the only info I could find is that it happened on other peoples' 8740w's. I owned an Alienware with a 5850 and GPU-z recognized it as PCIe 2.0. Also, while nVidia cards are recognized as 1.1 x16, as soon as one cranks up the load the card switches to the 2.0 lane.

Is this a real bios limitation or just a GPU-z issue?

Later edit: Well, HWInfo sees it as PCIe 2.0 x16. Case closed, it seems.
