I just don't want to have two partitions that I never use in "My Computer"

You could remove their drive letters in disk management and they will disappear , I have done this before, i don't know if the recovery will still work, but you can add the drive letters again if you have a problem, and everything should work fine again, let somebody else chime in before you do it.

    thanks Tinderbox,

Before my 8770w I had a sony vaio which had a recovery partition also but hidden. I have Paragon Partition Managerâ„¢ and can set these partitions to hidden.
I know soon ( once I install a clean windows) I would no longer want that recovery partition as who wants a hp installed windows with all the unnecessary slowing
installed software. I then just make a backup image and restore if needed. But as the laptop is brand new it feels weird to delete these partitions.

If you remove the drive letter in Windows, the recovery partition will still work as it is on a different environment.

Just make an image in case you wanna sell the notebook later on.
