My brother picked up a 12.1" elitebook off of craigslist. They guy sold it because it had the "Product Info Not valid" screen. There are no other markings that tell us what model it is.
This is all I can get from this laptop
System ID 7008
Bios Revision 68CSU Ver. 0.00
Processor Type Genuine Intel(R) CPU 000
Processor Speed 2.13Ghz
Memory size 3072MB
There are no markings on the bottom that tell what this is. I will have an opportunity to take it apart tomorrow and see what motherboard is used. But until then, can you decipher from the System ID?

the system id that machine uses with the bios code, looks like a 2540p.
don't quote me though. -
Excellent guys! it is indeed a 2540p. Thank you for your help.

it looks like the tattoo the machine comes with is corrupted, because it should be giving a bios version/cpu version. I would update the bios to the newest one to fix the system a bit.
