    hallo,
I have a problem with the HP protecttools drive encryption (HP protecttools/McAfee software). I encrypted only one hard drive partition, all windows (7 pro) and HP software should work without decrypting.

But since I changed the password, the drive encryption software asks for password7/fingerprint already during startup, after passing the bios password/fingerprint and before starting windows.

    - password and fingerprint are recognized by drive encryption, but theres an error code "EF060003" and the notebook won't continue with starting windows.
[this error mesage differs from the "wrong password"-message, its not a problem of forgotten password! same with the fingerprints...)

Is there a possibility to disable protecttools drive encryption trough bios setup?

How can a access windows 7 safe mode in order to disable the encryption? Pressing F8 during startup doesn't work.

    Thanks for any hints!
