I have a probook 4430s that ive had for a while. i shipped it to my daughter (used) and she had it for two weeks and now wont power on..

I've ordered a new motherboard, i'm simply wondering if there is something i can do, because Hp's seem so finicky,
i.e. like having to pull the battery and hold down power button etc etc things like this..

Does anyone have any experience with this probook 4430s and more so, one that is showing absolutely no signs of life?

If so what did you do to resolve this?

Have you tried with another, known to work, power supply? :) Wouldn't be the first time a laptop previously declared as dead would become alive when it has access to electricity.
