I'm considering buying the 5330m i3 , but only if its possible to insert a SSD in it. Does anyone know if this is possible?

    Kind regards,
    Phasio

If it has a 2.5" drive bay and a SATA interface you shouldn't have an issue.

Thanks sheldon, that's what im asking though (as I can't find the information myself). Noone is writing about putting an SSD in a 5330m, or whether or not it's a 2,5" drivebay or not :)

Hopefully someone here knows the truth, haha.

    Thanks again

Thanks a lot Excalibur! I'll guess I have to buy it now :D

I read somewhere that having an SSD in it, adds a lot of batterytime. Do you know if that's true?

Adds battery time? I don't believe that's the case but it depends. Seeings the drive finishes tasks faster than standard drives it'll return to idle quicker.

    Standard drives:
    SSD:
As you can see from the charts ssds will improve battery life but obviously have a look at the other charts to base your purchase on performance as well as battery life. The 5330m doesn't have the greatest battery life as it is but the SSD will help a little.

SSD need less power. On a regular disk you have it spinning waiting for you to do something most of the time.

For me it adds something like 30minutes, maybe 40, to my 5330m. Considering the crappy battery life we have, its a lot.
