Hello All,
I'm preparing a mobile demonstration lab for remote computing / desktop virtualization.
Has anyone built an Elitebook 8560W with the following components?
-32GB RAM (genuine HP)
-256 SSD hard drive
Is it possible to use the SSD as the only & primary drive and have 512GB instead of the HP specs of 256GB?
Thanks
Jonny

I have 16Gb and a 240GB SSD in bay 0 and a 500GB HDD in bay 1, so far only running a couple of VMs with Win7 and VMware Workstation 8.
Haven´t tried with XenServer yet, wanted to build a small kaviza/vdi-in-a-box testlab, but didn´t find the time.
and yes, of course you can only use the ssd in bay 0 and use a dvd/br in bay 1 -
My 4430s' specs are in my signature, and I have no issues running multiple VMs in Hyper-V.

Have you considered RAID-0 to boost SSD performance?
The HP RAID User Guide indicates that RAID-0 is supported using the primary, secondary and upgrade bay (optical drive bay):
So running two identical SATA-III SSDs in a RAID-0 arrangement can effectively double IOPS and seq read/write performance. Though RAID-0 doesn't as yet support TRIM. That is rumored to be included in upcoming Intel RST drivers.
