I recently purchased a Canadian spec Envy-17 as a desktop replacement which is only available with the 900p screen. I really like the Envy even with the gaps and wobble that mine has, but the screen and poor battery life is driving me up the wall. I like the color saturation and high contrast but the vertical viewing angles are terrible and the contrast is uneven.

I am thinking of returning the envy for a Eitebook 8540w with the i7-620 processor and 900p screen. Can a few owners give me their opinion on the 900p screen such as the brightness, contrast and viewing angles. How does the Envy screen compare to the Elitebook screen. Thanks for the feedback.

I think best you can do is to read the owners lounge thread. You'll know in this way pro's and con's and if the expensive cost of this laptop (it's a business computer, not a consumer one like the Envy) is worth for you or not.
