This is probably a long shot but I've managed to mess up the reflashing of my BIOS and want to try replacing the device that contains the BIOS.

Does anyone have a picture of the motherboard that I could use to see if it is easy to locate?

    Thanks.

Look for the motherboard part number near the memory slots. Use that to do google image search, you should find serveral auction websites and whatnot with pictures :)

That was a great suggestion and it paid off in a different way!

I found an online store that sold me a motherboard for not much more than the BIOs guys wanted for a flashed BIOS chip. No soldering woes :D

    Hi,

thanks for the spacebar fix, I loosened the screw and the keyboard i registering a press even on the sides. It worked only in the middle before the fix.

I know this thread is dead, but I still use this "ultrabook" as it is holding on. I switched the Toshiba HDD 7200rpm for a SSD which revived the promptness of the system a lot and eliminated the annoying sound of HDD.

The only problem I've been facing is low memory. I only have the stock 2GB which is a gruesome experience with Chrome. I read that you guys didn't make it accept more than 4GB, though it would be nice to upgrade to 8GB if someone knew a tweak to make it work with the MB/BIOS.

I'm considering buying a 4GB stick, do you think any stick should do or should I look for the original or at least the same Mhz, did any of you make it work with an aftermarket one?
