    Hi.

I'm writing this post because I would like some information about any upgrade available for 4530s or upgrades made from any member in the forum.

I'm going to test this items i purshased:

    Processor: Core i7 2760qm
    Memory: KomputerBay 2x8gb kit 16gb 1600mhz
    Wifi: atheros + Bluetooth combo.

I was planning to replace the screen to a Full HD AU Optronics v4 but I think is unnecessary right now.

    Any advice is appreciated.

    Thanks

The 1600Mhz RAM could be replaced by cheaper 1333Mhz RAM unless you want to use it in a IVB system down the track. I haven't seen any 4530s owner confirm RAM faster than 1333Mhz can be used at full speed. Besides, if it can there is little benefit. See my Performance: running 1600, 1866 or 2133Mhz DDR3 RAM in a 2560p results where there is 5.5%-10% iGPU benefit in running 1866Mhz RAM.

Other upgrade could be an eGPU for gaming or CUDA processing. See timohour's HD5850 vs GTX460 4530s implementation results.

There's a thread in here somewhere that confirms we can't use 1600Mhz RAM. 1333Mhz is plenty fast, and I can confirm that 16GB at that speed works.
