The Notebook Review forums were hosted by TechTarget, who shut down them down on January 31, 2022. This static read-only archive was pulled by NBR forum users between January 20 and January 31, 2022, in an effort to make sure that the valuable technical information that had been posted on the forums is preserved. For current discussions, many NBR forum users moved over to NotebookTalk.net after the shutdown.

    Which blu ray drive

    I'm configuring an HP 8760w, and there are two blu ray drive options:
    Blu-ray R/RE DVD+/-RW SuperMulti DL Drive
    Blu-ray/DVDRW UB Optical Drive

    Price is the same. Anybody know what the difference is between the two? I called HP sales, but didn't get an answer or call back yet.

    For anybody interested, the first will record blu-ray, the second does not.
