Anyone successfully installed esxi on a zbook?

We are attempting to do this with several Zbook 15 models but getting a module relocation error during the installer boot process.

Are you certain that the ESXi installer/image/ISO has the necessary drivers for the Z Book. Most likely the Z Book or the internal components will not be on the VMWare Hardware Compatibility List (HCL). If the drivers aren't included in the image, you will have to find and then inject the necessary drivers. I have not done this personally, but it looks like there are a few ways to do it. ESXi-Customizer seems to be a favorite of some. You could also search for "ESXi Whitebox. You will find many guides on how to installing ESXi on non-server type hardware (Example of this would be a consumer level motherboard with as much memory the board can take).

I choose to nest the ESXi installs within VMWare workstation. This allowed me to setup an entire cluster (virtual) and test features like High Availability (HA) and Distributed Resource Scheduler (DRS). Since I was only using this for testing / learning, speed wasn't important to me and most of the time not an issue.
