Question as in topic. Also are the diagnostic leds working on this model as described by HP in the link ?

I'm wondering what I broke when replacing the thermal pads. First I replaced them with thermal paste and after few weeks it resulted in screen artifacts eventually the screen going off (but only when doing gpu heavy tasks, otherwise stable) so yesterday I bought some branded pads to place it on gpu but since then - coincidence I guess - there's no boot up just blanks screen and no characteristic sound at start also fan starts later then usual.
If the GPU went down eventually there should be few capslock led blinks but there are none. No display on external either (tried fn+F4 then multiple times)
Only idea is that the phobya XT thermalpad (white) could be conducting electricity as well and something on the northbridge could have gone bad (did cut large piece of the thermal pad there)

I Tried removing cmos battery, discharging, removig all drives and cards, memory modules, going back without the thermalpads, etc no result
