I have 2 compaq nc2400. will not display on startup! lights/fan and pretty sure core duo cpu work (heats up). 1.8 zif drives removed. want to replace HDD with sd card adapters but not sure if worth it. hooked up external display, still nothing. replaced and tested 512mb memory with known good mem. should'nt it still post to bios without hdd????

    Confused, Bruce.
