is there easy way to get to the UEFI on hp Probook without hammering like a lunatic?

I see I get a black screen when I restart, followed by suddenly an HP logo flashes for a tiny fraction of a second

so far I've found that if I hammer away at escape like an absolute lunatic then I may get to the UEFI 70% of the time.. if I do it just hammering but not like a complete lunatic t,hen I might only get in 40% of the time.

If I hammer at Escape and F9(boot options), or Escape and F10(BIOS), then it might increase the probability and I might not have to hammer away quite so wildly.

It's a real nuisance when I have a hard drive with an OS on there that takes a while to load. 'cos if I miss it then it starts loading the OS. And there's no option in the UEFI of the HP Probook to disable a hard drive or anything from booting. You can only change the order.

I have found that there is a black screen for a few seconds but before the HP Logo. And hammering escape too early does nothing. But if I count 2-3 seconds or so, then tap escape a lot then, then within 12 taps I get the menu with F10 for BIOS F9 for Boot device options.

I find that a moment before the hp screen flashes, there is a light that flashes on caps and num lock.. and I have to start tapping before that light.

For getting to the UEFI/BIOS this is the worst system I have ever seen.

You can tap F10 too, or F9 so if after escape you want F10 or F9 you can tap esape with whichever of those. And that increases your chances of getting in.

Escape and F9 is a good one to tap because then if you get the boot device screen, you can hit escape then tap F10 and get to the UEFI/BIOS.

I do't know if there are any better/other ways of dealing with this?
