I have an elitebook 2730p without a hdd and I also bought a wintec jm-612 ssd on ebay because it was very cheap. after replacing the micro sata cable and the motherboard I have come to the conclusion that this ssd does not like the laptop, the ssd works normally on a desktop with an adapter. Even though I am less than $100 into this thing I would like to stop spending money until I can get a list of drives that are known to work. Can someone tell which micro sata drives are known to work with the 2730p?

    Thanks

I am in the same boat with mine except I bought a native 1.8 Toshiba SSD and the machine knows that something is there thus passes the tests but once I go to install windows there is nothing there >.<
So I am assuming that either I need a raid driver or there is a real problem. The machine was cheap and the ssd was at a fair price but I would like to get this thing running.
