The Notebook Review forums were hosted by TechTarget, who shut down them down on January 31, 2022. This static read-only archive was pulled by NBR forum users between January 20 and January 31, 2022, in an effort to make sure that the valuable technical information that had been posted on the forums is preserved. For current discussions, many NBR forum users moved over to NotebookTalk.net after the shutdown.

    Hi all, any advice on this strange issue I'm having with my new Elitebook 8440p. Its running W7 x64. When i launch my browser the mouse to double click it works fine, however when I use the hotkey above the F5 button it tries to open the home page as file:///c:

    Anyone else seen anything like this, or better still have a fix?

    Is there a 'hotkey' utility anywhere I can't seem to find one
