    hp 625 product information not valid

    when startup laptop, display product information not valid

    The following product information programmed into the system board is missing or invalid.

    System Board (00A)
    - Product Name
    Configuration,
    serial number,
    product SKU
    USB, sound, wifi all are disabled from bios, bios won't save changes.
    Bios version is F.20

    is this virus, or will i need to do hardcore reset..
    anyone have ideas?

    do hp have some backup bios somewhere in hard drive?

    The motherboard was replaced? You need the tool to set the product information, I think it's called hpsetcfg.

    this is a problem with a motherboard or CPU replacement, that has not had it's tattoo reapplied. It shouldn't be done by yourself, because it's meant to be done at the service centre. If it's a brand new machine, then i would get it sorted as soon as possible.

    All HP machines are 'tattooed' with their information. when that is missing, you will get the error above.
