I want to see if my amd motherboard is a direct upgrade to a quad core intel motherboard? Is that correct?

nvidia and amd graphics use different heatsink, so that needs to be replaced also. You can see it in the p.26 of that same manual: two different part numbers for gpu cooler.

Bottom cover may have different vent slot locations. I found 3 differing bottom covers for my notebook.

I have ordered the heatsink should arrive soon for the nvidia card. Can I use the old fan on the new install heatsink?

I don't understand what you mean by vent slot location and bottom covers? Where to find these?

    Thanks .

Just look at some being sold on ebay... some have vent locations offset for the type of GPU setups on the system board. Just letting you know if the bottom cover you have does not properly align the vents over fan, ram, chipset and gpu. If the fan vent location is offest too far, your system may not cool well enough. That would be the main concern over the other vent locations.
