    This is the version that has a optical bay caddy to host the 320GB 7200RPM HDD. So a key feature of the 25x0P series - the optical drive, is missing.

    Worth noting an optical-drive equipped 2530P can be had for ~$270 on ebay. A faster and more power efficient 2560P can be had for ~$650. Both being better value for money unless you need this 2540P's brand new plastic. The 2530P having the better keyboard and unwhitelisted bios too.
