I wonder if laptops with ICH7 sb can recognize SATA drive in Multi
Bay II placed in Advanced Docking Station 2008. Usually that laptops has IDE optical drive and SATA hdd.
I tried to connect hdd with external power cable to docking station but without results , my nc6320 doesn't see any new drive.
The question for you, has anyone tried and had positive results of using SATA MultiBay with older laptops, ie. that with IDE optical drive?
Station has been bought as used so I can't exclude that bay is broken.
All other features of station works well.

Anyway, some facts and myths (let google know! ):
    - HP 2008 150W Advanced Docking Station can use 65W 18.5V power supply, for old and tuned laptops (vcore pinmod  ) it's enough, for new with energy efficient configuration, I believe is, too!
