Hi everyone,
after surfing the web for a long time, I came to the conclusion that the laptop that fits both my needs and my budget is the HP Probook 4320s. Obviously if anyone thinks this is not a good purchase please tell!. Otherwise I will place the order within a few days.
In the meantime I wanted to know which of the two models do you recommend:
1) WT137EA with i3-370 CPU and graphics card ATI Mobility Radeon HD 530V with 512 MB of dedicated video memory
2) WD910EA with i3-350M CPU and Intel integrated graphics card HD
with particular reference to the graphics.
Thank you for your advice,
w.

What do you plan to do with the notebook? The integrated Intel HD graphics are more than enough for most people. The only reason I can think of for spending money on the ATI card is for 3D gaming.
Perhaps fill out our FAQ here:

. . . and post a thread in that forum so we can help you find exactly the right notebook for your needs. -
Star Forge Quaggan's Creed Redux!
Or serious photo and video editing. For me at least, I found even the lowest discrete card will be 100x better on video and photo editing than an Intel. -
no video and photo editing. No gaming.
May be some 2D CAD. Sometimes I might need to display some 3D numerical analysis results, but quite simple models.

Also I'm concerned with power consumption and heating. And I'm using linux only!

For what you are doing, the Intel HD graphics will be fine. They will have lower power consumption and produce less heat than the ATI card.
We have a Linux forum here if you are interested:

If you find (in several years) that the Intel Graphics isn't cutting it, then I would just sell the computer and put that money towards a new one (it will help if you keep it in good condition the whole time)
suggestion for Probook 4320s GPU
