    Hi all, just joined the forum one post ago, been reading up for awhile. Thnx for all the great info!
    So, Ive got an 8740 on the way as we speak via ebay, (i'll do a wirteup on why I chose it, price and specs etc. once it arrives). Anyway, I'de really like to have a backlit keyboard to go with it, I do alot of late night graphics work. I've heard they're a bit spongy but I don't type much so it's worth it for me. I looked around the net a bit but haven't had much luck, thnx for any help guys! oh, im in Canada if it makes a difference...

    USB light works wonders and the regular keyboard is 100x better in terms of quality, IMHO.

    It's personal preference, which layout you find better :) I'd guess they are US English layout by default.

    I meant what layout is used in new laptops?

    I mean, it doesn't matter if Thai layout would be my personal preference, I'd still get a Swedish keyboard here in Sweden, or in worst case, a Scandinavian one.
