Hi,
I´ve got a strange problem with the "sleep" mode of my zBook 14. It´s running Windows 7 Enterprise (64 bit) with all the latest drivers from
the HP support site.
The thing is that the sleep mode is working fine but just for an undefined period of time. If close the lid (or manually send the device to sleep)
and "awake" it a couple of minutes later by pressing the power button, the zBook returns without any problems.
However, if I do this after an extended period of time (a couple of hours), Windows is always booting up from the beginning. It seems to be
that the system has just been switched off while sleeping. It could not be a low battery problem, because it is always connected to power.
The event log is just saying:
"The system has rebooted without cleanly shutting down first. This error could be caused if the system stopped responding, crashed, or lost
power unexpectedly."
The "Hibernate" is working without any problems.
Any ideas how to track this?
Thanks
Heinz

Am I the only one with this problem?

Sorry, don't have this with my ZB14 w/Windows 7 Pro. Since you likely re-installed Windows, I'm willing to bet it's something to do with that. Have you tried enabling/disabling hybrid sleep and so forth?

Unsure if you're still taking replies, but you need to turn off hibernation.
Run CMD as administrator, powercfg /hibernate off
problem solved.
