    I'm still using it as my main laptop, and waiting an upgrade, most probably to an HP SPECTRE X360,

    There is a bug in the forum software that truncates the : after ftp so when you open it just add the : after the ftp.

    The url would be

    ftp://driver.jmicron.com.tw/1394/Windows/JM1394Filter_R1.00.25.03_WHQL.zip

    I've updated my dv6 to Windows 10 and now i can't scroll with touchpad. Do you know any driver that can fix it?

    Windows update is what you are looking for. I'm having the same problem on HDX18. Try removing the driver and download the driver yourself, windows 7 or 8 drivers. But I think update will override again so you have to wait for them to fix.

    Also I can't remove tray icon, will always return after reboot. Using a mouse so I removed it from autostart.

    I've found a solution for touchpad issue.
    I've uninstalled the synaptics driver installed from windows update and I've downloaded a tool from microsoft site to hide the synaptics driver from windows update. Then I've installed the working driver that i was using on windows 8.1.
    The tool that i used is called wushowhide.diagcab. I think that it is also called kb3073930.

    In my opinion, it's better to keep things together. It's easier to search and easier to update. Just add "Windows 10" to "OS Support" on supported drivers in the first post.

    Hi Anybody have info on Fingerprint readers ? I have Validity Sensor VFS471 (Driver 4.5.133.0) on a Probook 4730s - windows 10 pro-64bit. windows10 forced me to uninstall software that runs fingerprint reader. It shows in device manager as Biometric, but not in Control panel. Also not in Settings under sign in options.

    I'm thinking of putting windows 10 on mine, does everything work? Mine has a tv tuner card, since they removed the media center out of it, how could I get that to work?

    In fact there is a working hack to reinstate Windows Media Center to Windows 10. See: http://forums.mydigitallife.info/th...ternatives?s=a74ad8827b22eb782076b8ab6c284f0b .

    I have it on 6 different laptops and desktops running Windows 10 because I use the HDHomeRun prime and WMC is a good way to watch cable channels even premium ones. In fact my dv8 is one of my best media center laptops since it is old enough that the display is not connected using an embedded DisplayPort interface which WMC does not support (does not recognize HDCP and won't play premium channels). The dv8 plays everything.

    If you want to play it safe you can install Windows 8.1 instead. It has official media center support still. No need for the abovementioned hack. With StartIsBack and AeroGlass 8.1 you can make it behave much like the best of Windows 7 and 10.

    I have a problem since windows anniversary update, on the quick launch buttons. For the audio button, it's always red, but it works, it can enable or disable the audio, but doesn't change the color.
