After successfully installing the newest 11.10 drivers for some reason Catalyst control center isn't showing up on my pc. I tried uninstalling and re installing but it's still not showing up.

Should I just install an older version of catalyst?

Try go into Packages\Apps\CCC2 and do a repair install or uninstall and reinstall. I fixed mine with this method.

Why do I keep getting this issue with 11.10???

"AMD Catalyst mobility cannot be downloaded due to incompatible hardware/software on your computer.

The version of your graphics adapter is not supported."

This happens no matter what drivers are installed.

I get constant freezing/crashing with the 11.10 drivers that didn't happen with 11.9. Does anyone else have this problem?

I think this is a modded mobility driver. The drivers on the ATI site don't really work with switchable graphics.

What was the problem and how did you solve it? It might be useful for someone with the same issue. It's frustrating to see someone with the same exact problem who then posts 'nvm i fixed it' with no explanation whatsoever.

Back on topic - now I'm getting pretty frequent blue screens with Cat 11.10. Not sure what's going on there.

I know what you mean, but i was just dumb. after disabling automatic GFX card switching i did not switch to my ATI card manually... thats why the game crashed this time :D

Hello friends..I have always been dealing with nvidia cards since 6 years ago..this is my first ATI card I got..the 6770m in my dv6-6170..but I feel completely lost and donnu how to update or change the sttings..even the AMD website is not of much help cuz I downloaded the autodetect tool and when I download the catalyst suite it says no compatible hardware found!also can't find the latest driver for the 6770m to manually download it..
I know I may bother u really but I wish u can spare a minute or so to guide me about what to do..and would be really thankful..PEACE

do you know which driver you currently have installed? if it is stock HP driver or any other AMD version, just download this:
Multiupload.com - upload your files to multiple file hosting sites!

Install it (don't uninstall any older drivers), and that should do the trick :)

I have to say that I've tried rolling back all of the drivers and reinstalling up to 11.10, but I still get the same issue that I got with Rage; i.e. playing fine for a few minutes, and then a hard crash to desktop where I'd also have to close bf3.exe from the task manager. Already tried the compatibility settings as well, to no avail.

Hopefully others have this problem as well, or maybe someone has solved it already.

LKR is ABSOLUTELY RIGHT. 11.9 drivers work PERFECTLY for me post-rollback. No more crashing randomly to desktop. Keep in mind 11.10Previews 1,2,3 and DNA all had the same crashing problem, but 11.9 WORKS! Almost had me thinking it was a hardware error.

i managed to install 11.10 after doing a clean install (HP support site drivers + 11.10 mobility driver).

whats the problem with RAGE? i can access the main menu but as soon as the game loads there is a blue screen with some geometry and the game crashes.
isnt it compatible with AMD 6770m?

Hi I'm having some major issues at the moment, and have a feeling is video card related.. Have a DV6-6136tx w/6770mHD vid card.. Basically in full screen mode I can't change any of the settings except for the first page which is 'controls' due to my mouse not being able to click anything. It is also the same thing when I'm in the 'deploy' part of the game, can't click on anything. The screen res is also out of wack, and I can't see the minimap+ammo etc etc properly.

After changing to the 11.10 v3 preview 2 driver (after trying the latest HP 1 that I could find, and preview 3), it automatically starts in full screen - and I can alt-enter to make it windowed mode which allows me to click things in both the deploy section, and in options (allowing me to get to the video settings etc). Screen resolution is fine for about 5 mins, then it defaults back to the warped resolution not allowing me to see anything. The graphics also start feeling a bit sluggish etc at this point too.

I've seen 2 other threads relating to this issue (1 seems to point to the HP DV6 range too) but no solutions at all... Any thoughts? This is super super annoying, just wanna play the damn game o_O

    On AMD's website:

    Code:
    http://support.amd.com/us/gpudownload/windows/Pages/radeonmob_win7-64.aspx#2
    Direct link to EXE

Don't run the preview builds from DNA/AMD. Install the final 11.10 or 11.9 from HP/AMD's website.

Sadly enough, there is no more Omega driver...

I just reverted back to DNA 11.8.3 2 days ago because it works best for me in BF3 and few more games i'm currently playing. Best driver i've used so far.
Your mileage might be vary though.

Can someone please write up a step by step guide for getting the 11.9 drivers installed? I can't seem to do it even though I'm following the general advice people are saying here.

I uninstalled everything. Installed the latest HP Video Drivers, then I try to run 11.9 over the top but it doesn't seem to install the actual video driver I need.

Run 11.9 installer again and use custom installation. Does "Display Driver" actually ticked? Check the version too..

Yea the display driver part does not appear.

Does it matter that I'm not using the actual mobility version of 11.9? I can't even find a download link for it. Only your standard 11.9 W7 64 bit ones.

    Hi Guys,

With the flash artifacting described in the original post, I think I'm having the exact same problem with 11-10 AMD official drivers. It occurs in BF3, and Uniengine heaven 2.1 where a flash of artifacting appears every second or so. (Altho when i turn tesselation off in heaven 2.1, it doesnt happen any more, but if i turn it on again, definitely there like clock work almost)

Have you guys experienced this problem as well, or u guys with 11-10 can run it BF3 and uniengine with no problems?

Im worried my card needs to be RMA'd but when I use HP stock drivers its fine.

Ill try with 11-9 since that driver seems to work no problems for everyone, but if it artifacts I'm thinking I'll need to RMA it ><

Any info would be appreciated :)

Texture flickering/flashing in Unigine i think driver problem. I had that problem too with 11.8 WHQL driver.

ah cool, yeah, i uninstalled 11.10 whql and reinstalled 11.9 whql - Flashing / texture flickering is now gone from BF3 (yay!) but persists in uniengine.

So yeah, definitely looks like a driver issue as opposed to a hardware issue.

Hopefully they fix the BF3 texture flickering issue in 11.10 in 11.11 !
