I have followed all of the steps here and my multiplayer game works perfectly now, even on ultra, but whenever I try to launch campaign I can never get past "resume game" because the game crashes with the typical "...has stopped working" every single time. This happening to anyone else?

Installed the Leshcats drivers but BF3 still freezes for me about 10-15 minutes of MP.

What else do I need to do to fix this?

GPU was 58C and CPU 87C at time of crash.

yes, you need to start a new campaign. it's a well-known bug of Battlefield 3.

You know I had this EXACT problem with COD4 on my OLD desktop computer. Could play SP fine. MP would randomly crash.

Seems BF3 is trying to emulate COD4 too much for me :(

I tried that and it's still doing the same thing. I'm also getting some occasional start-up crashes on multiplayer as well, but that's significantly better than what it was before (which was not starting at all).

Found a fix to my problem. Had to uninstall the 12.3 AMD catalyst drivers and install the 12.1 ones. Everything is working perfectly now; on ultra nonetheless ;)

    Hi Ingram,

Leshcat recommends a complete uninstall of all display drivers (follow instructions as per his FAQ). After clean uninstall, reinstall his drivers, and make sure you tick the HP patch option.

I used to crash every 10 min during MP. but after following instructions have been able to play for a couple of hours all good. make sure u use the 12.2 WHQL UP5 drivers. and you should install them directly, i.e. without any other display drivers present

    Hope that helps

Exactly the steps I followed but no success. Also Chrome/Facebook is crashing the AMD display driver quite a lot now so I will probably uninstall Leshcat and go back to latest from HP website.

Holy Jesus! The UP5 driver is awesome!

I am getting around 40 fps without OCing on Most Low + High Mesh. The driver messes up the memory clock and Voltage on Saphire Trixx so I cannot OC as of now. Any other OCing app that is compatible with this driver?

EDIT: I have had 1 driver crash so far where the resolution changed and I had to end bf3.exe to reset the driver. Everything else is fine so far.

I must say, the new leshcat driver is working better than the old HP ones. Ever since I installed it I haven't had a single crash on MP or Campaign, with the added plus of increased performance! :D

What GPU and in-game settings are you using and how much FPS?

I was getting 40+ of Low, High last night right after switching the the UP5 drivers, but today for some reason I can't go over 32 on all low. I tried everything, but no luck. Someone help me out here please.

Don't know if this has been asked before, but when I try to game fullscreen everything freezes up; when playing windowed mode it works fine though o.o anyone know why?

Yes I did. They were pretty stable but performance wise, I had fps drops in BF3. Fps would drop to 25 out of nowhere. Your expereince with these drivers may vary.

I also followed all the steps for lescat's 12.2 drivers, because bf3 always crashed followed by a "your display driver has stopped responding." The 12.2 drivers are perfect, but I have a weird little glitch where the screen would go black for 1 second every time I respawn or get killed. Does anyone else have this problem??

I'm using. Well, I can't compare with any other drivers, as this is my first drivers which I started to play bf3 with.

Now guys, please listen up, everyone who has 6770m graphics card, can you do for me and for other members a favor? What I'm asking is: I would like to know how well would perform your card in bf3.

The format of your post should look like this, I'll start:

Mission name: "Rock and a Hard Place"
    Overclock: None
    BIOS version: F16
    Processor: i7 2670qm
    RAM amount: 6GB
HDD rpm (7200 rpm or 5400 rpm): 5400 rpm
    Additional cooling: None
    Version of Radeon 6770m (1GB or 2GB): 2GB
Graphics drivers: leshcat's Catalyst 12.3 WHQL UnifL for Switchable Graphics
How stable are they (percentage), your opinion: 90%
Battlefield 3 video settings: ALL ULTRA
    FPS: Using fraps (without recording)
    Minimum:12
    Maximum:22
    Average: 15
    Resolution: 1366x768

P.S. It would be nice, if all of us would use the same settings in battlefield 3 video options, so it would be a lot easier to compare each others. I mean, the same resolution (1366x768), all settings set on ULTRA (including AA etc.)

damn... I really need to try this new driver (If only my laptop's fan wasn't broken) I wonder how much you get on ultra.

Also, does the BIOS version has anything to do with this?

I have already posted stats on ultra settings:
The BIOS version doesn't change anything at all, at least for F.16

The easiest way to install leshcat's drivers is to install those on fresh win 7, without any hp or amd drivers, just leshcat. I've had problems too installing those drivers, but I was so tired to try something else, I just reinstalled win 7. But now I'm wondering, if I'd like to install the upcoming 12.4 leshcat drivers, I should reinstall windows again, which, I suppose, is quite too often for me, to do that every single month, lol.

Mine stick at 900/[email protected] with Catalyst 12.3. Will only drop to 725/800 if i play video using DXVA. These drivers are getting funnier each release.

OMG, i am sick and tired of all this. My Battlefield 3 is freezing SO MUCH, basically every match. I tried almost every driver and every fix out there. Im currently using 12.6 beta which has been the best so far.

Does anyone have some advice in to make it stop freeizing, this is so unbelievable.

    I am using 6770m.

this helped me A LOT. i'm not sure if it's applicable to you, but it's worth giving a try. i used to get a lot of freezing as well, until my searches led me to countless forum posts by users with Realtek audio chip complaining about the same issue. i uninstalled Realtek HD Audio drivers and rebooted. once Windows 7 installed Microsoft's generic HD Audio drivers, the game's freezing count went down considerably, from freezing in every game to freezing in every 10 other games or so. also, if you're overclocking, lower your overclock values a bit. and keep an eye on the temperatures as well...too high, and the GPU driver will crash.
