Ordered 18 Sept, delivered 18 Nov.
I have a question about the COA label. It says "Win Vista Bus to Win 7 Pro UPG Fulfill" on it.
My question is, if I put this label on the bottom of my laptop, does that mean I have a legal fully licensed windows 7 system? Or do I still need the vista COA that the "upgrade" applies to?
Cheers

Update:
Finally got my disc. Delivery was promised by Dec. 4, so it's ahead of the deadline.
I've only had my system for 90 days I'll be doing a standard upgrade. I'll post again after it's installed.
Ordered on Oct. 22, '09, received Nov. 28, '09. -
Got W7 all in stalled and loving it. It was a little sluggish at start (had to connect online for some needed updates) but things appear to have stabilized and I'm enjoying the increased stability and speed.
One thing I've noticed is, I now see double the signals on my wifi and the connection to my signal is a lot more stable than before. -

Mine was just transferred to USPS yesterday morning. I hope I get it by the end of this week.
P.S. Did anyone do an upgrade instead of a clean install? -
But once it all finished, almost everything has worked fine. I backed out the Digital Persona fingerprint reader / identity manager that the HP setup disk insisted in installing even though my DV7-2173CL doesn't have a reader. The HP Support Assistant (stub of an older version perhaps?) consistently tells me I don't have an Internet connection when it tries to run automatically - whether I'm on wired or wi-fi, direct or VPN. The full updated HP Support Assistant and HP Update, when launched manually, find the Internet fine.
I'm also running the Office 2010 + Visio 2010 betas. Very nicely integrated into Windows 7. Things are improved even over the RC version of Windows 7. -
Just got the upgrade CD from HP today after waiting over a month to be shipped. No rush to install going with upgrade path instead of the fresh install.

One bug though is that the next day, my system start maxing out the CPU and everything slowed to molasses speed. All the adviser I check (including this one) suggested it was a driver mismatch. So I ran the system optimization, (and did a virus scan) and it seem to be operating as before. Still a little disappointing since I was hoping for more speed (as promised) not equal.
Now to learning how to navigate all over again. I just graduated to Vista from XP only 9 months ago. -
Can't wait to go SSD when prices drop! Even a 7200 RPM would be welcome! -
I receive my today.
Do I must install new drivers after that?
Can I reverse this upgrade if Im not happy with ? -
It's a molasses slow event which is why most people run them an night. However, I had to change discs so I was forced to 'watch the paint dry." -

So the upgrade went fine for you guys? All of the programs still worked?

That said, it's going to be some time before I take my system through all it's paces. I've no doubt other problems will crop up, but that's to be expected considering a new OS.
One funny thing though, when I turned my computer off, it wend black almost immediately. I thought oh my god, what's wrong now. Then I realized the short log off time was one of W7 improved features and not a flaw. I had to laugh at myself on that one.
Any one receive windows 7 from hp yet?
