Thanks Eric. I've run it through the gun with stress tests, watching the temps and then decided last night it was a keeper. I did a clean Vista install on it last night and now I'm just going through the drivers to put everything back on it that needs to be.

I've never done anything like this before -- testing the processor, doing a clean install, etc. I feel like I've been through boot camp!

Good luck with your new computer. Hope you have a better experience with the next one.

Congrats to all that got their deliveries recently. I too received my 2700SE last night. However, this supposed free sleeve is nowhere to be found. Anyone else missing theirs?

I noticed the same thing. I think there is a notch in the hole that keeps it from coming out easily, so when plugging it in, you need to give it a little extra push to click it over the notch. Not the greatest explanation in the world, but hope it helps. :)

The other night I did the clean install...and what a difference it makes. I know enough about computers to make me dangerous, so I was a little apprehensive at first, but I followed the instructions and it worked. I went from 71 processes running to 30-some. I highly recommend it.

The only part that stinks is having to re-install all the drivers...but that is a small price to pay to clean up the system.

No there isn't. You have to get one for around 10 bucks from Microsoft.

    Hey guys,

If you ordered the DV9700T with the 512MB 8600M GS, I noticed the price has been cut 50%. So does that mean we can call since we're within the 30 days and get that $50 credit? I read on here to keep an eye on prices within the 30 days to see if there are any price drops in the components you ordered.

How come people got the 256 Card with this build?

I went with the 512MB thinking it was a better card?

By the way, anyone know how my setup will play with World of Warcraft or source?
