I have a HP DM1-1200sv and this model cannot be found on the HP website. Also, you mention on this guide that DM1-1xxxx is only Intel but my DM1 has AMD cpu.
This is the report of CpuZ tool:

It looks like you have an oddball model. For your notebook, you should be using the dm1-2XXX AMD series BIOS. (You already have the most current version, F.17.)

Can we upgrade the BIOS for DV4-3XXX to support Windows 8's boot secure? Like when we press escape key during boot we will be able to select safe mode etc. Does Windows 8 support HP Pavilion dv4-3006tx? I cannot find the driver on the download page until today. I'm on Windows 8 and still no driver yet for this laptop??

i tried to download the f.26 bios update for my envy dv6-7280ez but this file is no longer on hp's ftp-server nor mentioned on the dv6-72xx series support pages:

there is some links in the web to files claiming to be the bios but i am not willing to flash a bios update based on a file download from a russian file hoster

Hi, I have a dv7-2110sa. I looked at the bios release for dv7-2xxx but it is only for intel processors. Is there a different one for amd processors?

Although I got a question:

My Notebook:

Pavillion tx2050eg
AMD Turion64 X2

I updated the Notebook with Windows 7 Prof. SP1, 3GB RAM and a SAMSUNG 840 EVO SSD 250GB.
In the BIOS I can't set any SATA Settings, which I need for the SAMSUNG SSD. The SSD will only use it's whole performance, if the SATA setting is configured to AHCI. The BIOS seems really small for me, there are really less options to configure.

The system is not able to read any S.M.A.R.T. information of the harddisk.
It's also not possible to enable any SMART settings in the current BIOS.

Is it possible to enhance the BIOS on this notebook?
If yes, with which Version?

Maybe I can use the BIOS of another Notebook model?
But I don't want just "trying"...

Unfortunately, F.08 is the latest BIOS release for your tx2050eg. Flashing another model's BIOS image is NOT recommended, as this can render your system unusable.

Since the tx2000 series is part of the Tablet PC family, I recommend checking the TabletPCReview forums as the users there may be able to better assist you.

Currently, HP is not guaranteeing BIOS updates for 2011 notebooks. HP has discontinued most of these notebooks and is focusing only on notebooks that are certified with Windows 8/8.1.

 

Anyone with working link for dv6 71xx F.29 bios? F.2D might have some security enchancements, but wifi goes awol after flashing it, and F.26 I have backed up is a bit old...

 

Is there any BIOS downloads available for the TS 14" series? I have a N-218US model, I believe a BIOS update was pushed to it from the support assistant. Since then the touch screen does not work, I tried all Windows settings and the Component tests in the BIOS for touch and it did not respond. There are no options for managing anything in the BIOS.

Would like to try an earlier BIOS however HP does not post these on their site.

dv6-2xxx is dead. Couldn't find sp48896.exe to my dv6-2137eo. There was 48894, 95 and 97.
