In other news.
this may or may not be old.
http://www.hp.com/united-states/personal_again/datasheets/envy14_17_ds.pdf?jumpid=reg_R1002_USEN
leaning on old -
Just all of us.
-
That looks new to me.
The slice is only a 6-cell? Lame. I assumed it was an additional 8-cell or a 9-cell. -
I'm up till 5. This is serious business.
-
MagusDraco Biiiiiiirrrrdmaaaaaaan
well then it's new then.
found it by searching for envy14 on hp's website somewhere.
looks like the only screen choice is the 1600x900 if that spec sheet is accurate -
well im off to play some medal of honer ... hopefully all the kiddie hacks are asleap.
-
Sorry dudes, wasn't checking the website before posting. Still not up unfortunately
-
I have to be up in 6 hours to watch england beat germany
-
its way oldd. and how heavy do u want the slice to be?
-
MagusDraco Biiiiiiirrrrdmaaaaaaan
*shrugs* guess it is old after all
-
You guys don't trust anyone do you.
Let me load up some screen shots. If you say I doctored this I suggest you sleep and find it out tomorrow. I know I'm ordering mine.
-
Oh no, I'm seeing Core i3 is an option there. We really might be getting screwed into a Core i3 on the base model. However, if 1600x900 is the only screen option, I guess it's a fair trade. I'll definitely upgrade to a Core i5.
-
Nuttin yet eh?
-
That is a lot of photoshop
-
that one guys' screenshots look legit lol
-
but is that 370m cpu?
-
photo shopped
-
Fat Dragon Just this guy, you know?
Okay, so I'm willing to believe you, but nothing is getting me to that page, not cache clearing, different browsers, etc...
-
hey mr. "legit" mind sendin me a linkk?
-
umm, why does my link not look like yours?
-
He says you have to login to your EPP account to view ENVY14.
Why would they only reveal ENVY14 to business purchasers? LAME -
Indeed I can't find it either
-
wow...It looks like the slice is $200.
-
where did find that price?
-
It probably comes up in waves. I know when the Envy 17 came up, I couldn't see it with my academic discount linked account.
-
Yeh but its not only about straight large file read/write.
The RealSSD's had huge problems with small file reads/writes, which is more important for the most part to your laptops loading performance. Not sure if its been fixed, i havnt been following the drive story, but last time i checked the Sandforce drives are better as OS drives, and the Intels just behind them. Most people dont need the straight copy/write speed for anything, because they dont copy files that large from one SSD to another and a regular HDD just kills the whole process. And most people, i assume dont care about benchmark speeds for their laptops.
You clearly doctor'd it
there is a huge white chunk missing at the top
-
upgrade costs $175 for 520m?
-
EPP account? How do you get that?
-
I was able to find the customization page. I logged into my HP academy account, searched HP Envy 14, and it brought me to the customization page. Slice is $200, although it doesn't actually say slice:
One 8 Cell Lithium Ion (standard) +One 6-Cell Extended-Life Lithium-Ion Polymer Battery (over-sized) = $200.
Also, no 540M. -
Why would they make ENVY14 available exclusively though? Shouldn't one be able to find it simply by going to hp.com>laptops and mini notebooks> ENVY> and see it available without logging in?
-
Logged in, NOTHING.
-
looks like its gonna be $1275 for the 520m. thats the only upgrade I wanted anyways.
-
I didn't say you have to log in as EPP. I'm just saying I was already logged in as EPP, and I just clicked on the link the other guy posted and got me straight into config for ENVY 14.
I love how you guys are jumping on the BS bandwagon without trying to find the link properly. Looks like other people are able to see it now.
As I said, check out that link a guy posted several pages before.
But yes, slice battery looks pretty expensive at $200... -
Aww, 175 for the 520?
-
Little off topic I go to a university ( Florida State) how do I find out the company code to register for EPP?
-
HOLY SH#T FINNALLYY 346am!
-
Fat Dragon Just this guy, you know?
Christ... $100 higher base than originally suggested, $75 more for the 520m than predicted, $200 for the slice... I'm on the verge of suggesting large, uncomfortable objects for HP to stick somewhere or other.
HP Envy 14: Availabilty, etc.
