Upload a video capture of you clicking on options and scrolling around the config pages. Until then, I can't believe you
-
Its Up!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
-
My total came out to $1,385 with these specs plus 10% discount:
i5 - 520M
4GB RAM (1 DIMM)
ATI 5650
500GB HD 7200RPM
Slice battery. -
I can see it!
-
ok guys... If you login to your academy account... Go to the search bar and enter envy 14. click on buy now button and it should take you to the config page...
-
Only academic?!
-
I love how HP lied about the base price. It's $1099 and not $999. Well, it's $989 with academic discount.
-
I suggest you put that pipe down and look around a little bit, other people are able to see it as well.
But I can understand how you wouldn't be able to see, because if you just go straight to their ENVY webpage then it still isn't listed for some stupid reason. -
build date of July 7th..
-
Still cant see it.
-
MagusDraco Biiiiiiirrrrdmaaaaaaan
oh that will get pushed back -
Fat Dragon Just this guy, you know?
Still not showing up for me. Not that I disbelieve those of you who can see it, but I'm out of luck so far...
-
How'd u log in!!
-
But yah.. no 540m cpu, only 430, 450 and 520 are available for the i5s...
-
Dammit...how are people getting access to the page...
-
Config with 520m, 4 gb ram (1 dimm) and academic discount comes out to $1169, I'll take it.
-
create student account... select im a student and then hit almuni
Student discount - HP Academic Purchase Program -
Confirmed. I see it.
-
I'm logged in as well but it's not showing for me, oh well just going to give it time.
Edit:
Used my roommates computer and it worked. -
I was able to find it and customize it while logged into my student account, but when I try to add it to cart, HP says they no longer have the system I'm trying to customize.
-
Nothing so far
-
Works on firefox, not on chrome, but that may just be me
-
It works for me in IE(EPP) but not firefox dunno why.
-
Disappointing. But it's okay. I'm not buying tonight anyhow since there's no discount.
-
Pretty much. I'll skip the slice, maybe they'll come on sale at some point, or BCB will go up to 25% before July 30th and I'll buy the slice separately.
-
double tee eff same here
-
dang it... i'm in the uk =( can't make student account...
-
I can vouch for both being able to see it and not see it.
From a London Proxy logged into academic shopping page I see it.
From a California Proxy logged into company EPP page I do not see it.
And no I don't plan on testing every variation, but figured while I was on both proxy servers, I'd give this a shot.
If you are -really- desparate, you can use regional web proxy servers, but I'd just suggest you wait until it localizes.
--- -
I see it under epp
-
Yeah... Just bought one..
-
Yes, it is a bit more than I expected. With EPP discount it barely brings it down to what we expected for MSRP....
Hopefully HP will have some kind of coupon out by tomorrow or Monday -
for those who cant see, you guys need to signup/login into epp/student accounts and then search for the envy 14. The e14 isn't on the main laptop page. You need to go to the upper right hand corner search bar and enter envy 14. Then it leads you to the new HP laptops page and there you should be able to see the buy now button. click it and there ya go.
-
The links just went down for my on my HPA account. Anyone else getting this? I can no longer get to the configuration page.
-
Fat Dragon Just this guy, you know?
Screw it, I'm going fishing.
-
For some reason now I can't see it as well. Did they take it down? They must have seen a ton of bandwidth coming from NBR
-
Awesome! Works on ie for me!
-
well i went through and selected my specs, but when i try to "add to cart" it says "We're sorry!
We no longer have the PC you're trying to customize, or some of its components, or the server you want.
Please choose another customizable PC or one of our ready-to-ship PCs, or choose another server. You can also call our Sales Center at 1 (800) 351-9687.
Thank you for your understanding."
and now i can't get the envy 14 site to load....
i guess i'll just wait til morning to buy it -
Nope, if I use IE (no EPP), nothign still.

With the 1600x900 standard, the price still ends up working out..at least for me. what was the verdict on 450M vs 520M?
-
i can configure it, but it dies when i try to add it to cart =[
-

I swear, the next thing you are all going to be doing is shouting "GET!" when we reach 5000 posts in this thread.
CALM DOWN. *please* -
Went up to the last part, but clicking on buy now just takes me to the main page where I can choose by category, screen size, etc.
-
I think most of us are going with the i5-520M. It'll just be better for gaming and any CPU intensive apps. The turbo boost up to 2.93GHz will help in almost anything CPU-bound.
-
Yeah its gone for me too

LOL!! -
I think 450M has faster DMI (4.8 GT/s) and same stock clock speed. Between 430M and 520M the difference wasn't that great unless you are running comm. suite (see my separate thread for this).
