    Wow, well Idk, i crossed of teh envy 15 and posibly the envy 17 as well, because its getting some bad PR, check my thread people:

    the Envy 17 itself I don't think has bad PR, just the build quality HP's past models. I've bought 3 notebooks in the past 10 years, and been on forums for a while. The models i've had each have some people who have terrible experiences, but they've lasted me just fine. Sometimes bad luck, sometimes user error, but always mixed reviews. IME, Sony's are the worst, Dell ok with good service IMO, and currently on Gateway ok too.

    Does anyone know if the deal offered through Amazon actualy includes a blu-ray or is it dvd? There seems to be contradictory information there.

    It is blueray. Amazon has not released a date yet for the Envy 17. There is one report from a person in the owner's lounge that Amazon will begin shipping in August.

    I finally figured out how tobget an i5 envy 17 without having to opt for the crap screen. I was just at the mall anxds they're selling an i5-450 with 1080 screen configuration @ the Microsoft store.
