Ah I didn't look at them closely, though I don't know that I would have picked up on that. I've become conversant with HDXs being sold on there, not really their parts. I just saw it was a top seller. I heard about that garbage. Thanks for posting about it in here.

Lol
Congrats! It's a baby dragon!
-
Does that say you have memory/ram via Hyundai? -
Yes then sleep better at night. Well then get well soon!
There was already answers it:and here is my short answer:----------->
From what are you talking about?
wPrime start as admin! Something else I did not mean.
You have the same score.?
Results please! Numbers please! What score? wPrime or WEI?
This:------------------------------------>
But as I said before: The manufacturer does not matter. It is only important at "800MHz 6-6-6-18" and "667MHz 5-5-5-15"
And as you can see I have made the future of RAM only 37Week/2016
From what are you talking about?
Software ?
I guess "ThrottleStop"? Certainly I am a clairvoyant.
And I read some of Voltage.
Well finally someone besides me to notice this!
I wrote novels about it.--> Here my post on the subject. Please also read on!
Nothing is better. Autostartup I do not recommend.
Only the voltage always check manually!
Incorrect voltage at about one in 30 starts from ThrottleStop.
However, it is for a wPrime Bench totally irrelevant.
Where only wPrime results remain for me? -
Is there a way of restoring the bios from CD. Has anyone tested it? Do I have to make the cd bootable? Or do I have to buy a USB floppy?
Cheers -
Excuse my ignorance, but I thought 800mhz RAM was undoable, or at least unprofitable, on the HDX.
MA -
Just read page 1 of this Treats!
-
Right, thanks
"This would ---> PROBABLY <---work with a CD too - the Win-B also accessed the CD driver after checking the floppy" according to 2.0.
That's why I've asked "has this been tested"
I've tried burning the nvidia cab file on cd. Magic ISO doesn't recognise it and can't burn. Same with win7. -
I've always been doubted. Had "PC2 6400 200Pin 800MHz 6-6-6-18" bought and am happy with it. This runs on the HDX with 667MHz 5-5-5-15.
Advantage: When "FSB Lock Mod to 'free FSB, then I do have the correct memory.
Disadvantages: none
It is also taking quite irrelevant which manufacturer you.
(Eg, Kingston, G-Skill, Hynix and ---)
There are no physical differences. All are equally fast. -
I don't doubt you, mein freund. 2.0 has, I believe, stated that you can use it, but what is the advantage to the user if it runs at 667mhz?
Danke
MA -
Sorry for the quick response!
So, nvidia cab file is no ISO file. Accordingly, it can not burn as ISO.
Or do I understand you wrong?
Bios flash from CD...In any case I do not know anyone here who would have ever tried.
Not even 2.0.
Or [email protected]?
-
I never tested the CD method. I do know that USB floppy method does work and has been tested a number of times.
Personally, I would go with the USB floppy method. -
Answer: NO ADVANTAGE
This issue we had a few pages before. See here! -
So, is it just that it is easier to find 800mhz memory at competitive prices than 667?
Danke
MA -
This can not be answered generally.
Actually, there is no price difference. It all depends on where you are looking for.
Maybe someone here will send a link.
You want but do not buy from Germany, right?
There are also opportunities for new equipment, his old RAM to give in cash.
For example: Buy 8GB (2x4GB) and return of his old RAM (2x2GB).
Then you pay only $ 70. (Guideline)
Find easy and take the best offer. Manufacturer minor matter completely. No performance differences. -
On occasion, explained that the best version of drivers for the HDX nvidia is 197.45, but is in English, like its equivalent in Spanish?.
Thank you very much -
@Burke
Well, you probably want to flash ModBios. And since you have bricked fear of HDX.
Or your HDX is bricked?
-
No, I'm about to install a new mobo and gpu.
-
@Burke Well then good luck and may everything go well!
-
You may be able to find the Spanish version here: Microsoft Update Catalog
You'll have to search for it. Use search terms "Nvidia 9745"
If there is a Spanish language equivalent, here is where you are likely to find it. -
Search in Microsoft Update Catalog for this driver in Spanish!
We are looking for there, using the GPU.
Nvidia 8800 GTS will give only one! Entering Nvidia 8800 M GTS, this driver will not appear.
As you can see the driver Multi language and also Spanish.
However, I still recommend 257.21 WHQL. Have no problems with this driver and great performance.
EDIT: 2.0 was faster.
Had not seen it. Sorry!
-
Thank you very much, are the best, is a guarantee to have this forum.
Thanks -
Many thanks everyone for all your replies. And Doh! I was sooo close to ordering an almost new X9100... and it would have been such a good deal. Now I know why. All the X9000s out there at the moment are a bit too pricey (or sound dodgy) so for now I'll stick with my T9300 and keep on waiting for a good opportunity, then grab that X9000 - and it'll become my precioussss...!!
Haven't decided on the RAM yet but as either option seems to work I'll probably go with whatever ends up being cheaper and/or more sexy. Hyundai RAM is definitely NOT very sexy...
Has anyone ever thought of or heard about a little more extreme modding approach, like replacing the whole mainboard with something more up-to-date (non-HP) that would allow one to use the latest CPUs and graphics cards? Or is the HDX chassis too much of a custom built type, also internally, so one just can't use any other components at all?
I bet it is... Doh! Again!

Extreme modding using existing systemboard
1. overclock the T9300 to 3.3Ghz or 3.6Ghz as shown
2. identify if the expresscard slot is port1. If so, consider a x2E DIY ViDock, combining the expresscard and mPCIe slots. eg: HD6850. Mod the 20" LCD to take an external HDMI input to allow the desktop card to run straight into it.
3. OR if no x2E link is possible, install a FX3700M and mod the bios. The bios modding is tricky as it requires injecting a compressed vbios back into a complete bios file. No compressor exists atm. Worth asking semi, the author of ADDCCV3 or Veit, the author of compdeco, to provide a compressor tool. -
I find Hyundai (Hynix) very sexy.
But I think you confuse something. Hyundai = Hynix and this is a manufacturer of such RAM. (other manufacturers Samsung, Toshiba, Micron, etc)
In contrast, Corsair, Kingston Technology, MDT, are OCZ, A-Data, etc, only third-party manufacturers.
They buy when including Hynix chips. Then up to their board, stickers on it and finished the Kingston RAM.
Therefore, they buy what they want. -
That's good RAM. Nothing wrong with it.
Yep, impossible. The chasiss, components, cable runs, ports, etc.

I could fill up this into another thread about batteries and other minuitae, just check out the Wiki on it. Concentrate on the Diadvantages: Shelf life & Internal resistance sections.
To out weigh the natural order of things and preserve the battery as long as possible (as I believe\recall was mentioned in previous thread at least once) you should once per month fully discharge, then fully charge the battery, then use it untill it drains to approximately 55% and then store in a cool, dry place (refrigeration is appropriate, freezing is not).
Avoid leaving the battery in the unit (heat and constant recharge are both enemies) and use it as sparingly as possible - there are only so many cycles that the medium will sustain before the decomp is significant and LiON have lower life expectancy of most. -
Did you not see my reply to your original question in post #682?
-
Thanks for the invaluable information. I've always been confused about the best strategy for laptop batteries.
Will condensation form on the battery if it's refrigerated, and does the battery give off any fumes of any sort?
MA -
Let's stay out of Morhdorh.
Unless you're gonna do (major) surgery on your Dragon stick with DDR667; unless you upclock the FSB you'll lose ground with DDR800 because the latencies are greater.
@2.0, RickiBerlin & any other diehards - been dyin' to ask, I know we like to tinker but when you can pickup a X9000 for ≈ $350 why ya' gonna' tempt fate\take the time? -
YES (excellent point which I neglected to include, fumes are minimal but existent); you should definitely use Tupperware and papertowels! Additionally, thaw the battery to room temp the day before you are going to cycle it.
-
OK update.
I have no clue what I did other than the fact my computer froze during a normal checkdisk scan at bootup, which ultimately caused havoc with my sound card drivers, video drivers, and multiple programs which i had to uninstall/reinstall.
but after fixing all that i went ahead and gave the bios mod another shot just for the hell of it, and WABAM! it worked! gott throttlestop running just fine, o/c'd my t8100 to 2.3ghz which from what i understand is the highest i can go w/o vold modding, and even got the voltage down to 1.0250 w/o bsod'ing, so amen to me. -
Don't remember, did I get your reco on a drive?
-
PTL! Hallelujah!
-
Wrap the battery in paper toweling, and place in Tupperware, or place in Tupperware and wipe off with paper toweling while thawing?
MobileArtist -
May the force be with you.
-
Hey CompT, there he goes again "objectifying hardware" at least it's somebody elses this time. LOL (just a jest RB).
D7, how ya' feelin' 'bout that one? -
1st one - if you use the right size container you can even use the papertowel to help solidfy Tupperware lip edge sealing and provide excellent moisture protection barrier.
-
do you know speed levels of cpu's fan?
-
Because of the challenge in doing so. Nature of the beast I'm afraid.
Same reason why I tried to install a 280M GTX. -
I can understand - I didn't volunteer for the USMC for just the Dress Blues; if you're gonna' be a beast, be fearless! "Yea, though I walk through the valley ..."
I could see if the GTX had worked out how it would have had a huge upside ... kudos for pickin' up the colors my brother. -
This is not the case. "800MHz RAM 6-6-6-18" is running at 667MHz with a latency of 5-5-5-15. I repeat myself as much.
But 667MHz RAM can not run at 800MHz. (unless reflashing to this)
On the HDX is therefore my 800MHz with a latency of "5-5-5-15".
And here it for the third time a picture:
Sorry to the users who had seen this so many times now!
Answer:2.0
So I agree. and...
And, I need no processing power.
Write with my two HDX only this forum.
As rich and 1x600MHz CPU. And for that, then "ThrottleStop"function SuperSLFM.
And the picture it:
CPU clock set to 600MHz. That's enough for me.
Apology because of all the place! -
I bought 2gb ram more so now I have 4gb.
I use os x86 so there is some MB unused.
What software do you recommend (smth like ram disk) to use? -
If you makes also use Win7, then read this post from me!
This explains your computer behavior.
Congratulations!
Please remember to check the voltage to start! -
Hello dragon lovers. Anyone else find it hard to believe that HP total care has chosen not to support the HDX 9010nr for win 7 or for that matter vista sp1. HP has lost their minds if they think customers are willing to pay 2k for systems that only get supported for 2 yrs. The sound controller issues associated with these builds has gone completely ignored by HP since day one. HP's support is the industries laughing stock. Once bitten twice shy.
-
Pardon my error of not including an additional word (may); yours
And one presumes that many, if not all will - not guaranteed.
successfullyAgain no guarantees.
Considering there is a significant price disparity ( $120 vs. $310), minimal real world impact of the additional RAM, and the unlikely event of major surgery (user remarked about X9000 upgrade, making PC2-6400's higher clock speed inconsequential) he should save, and use, the sheckles for a higher capacity SSD; simplest and most cost effective method to get biggest bang for his bucks - stick with the current 4GB (assuming that is his amount, otherwise get PC2-5300), get a big SSD, funds remaining upgrade CPU and throttle it. -
LOL. He said "sheckles"
-
That's why we're all here to help each other out in the vacuum of support.
-
Welcome aboard. No; belief is for those who don't know - Vsp1 is supported, it's on the restore disks provided by HP I have for DRAGONy . It appears you are insinuating they were ever in their right mind, or even had one - they made a 16# 'laptop' with a 20" display and priced it at near $5K. You were lucky to have received support during the initial warranty period. The sound problem, is OEM's fault, affects more than us. Ever called Dell (Disposable Electronics Limited Lifespan)? According to legend once bitten by a Dragon you too snort flames. If you're that unhappy with yours tell me your specs ...
