    I got the current HDX with the NB3434 30% off coupon which has expired a couple of weeks ago.
    I am just trying to upgrade from 30% off to 40% off.

    Hey I've spoken with about 10 people from Microsoft who do not have a clue what is going on.

    Now I finally got a new screen with the Oops in the center and the HP site ghosted in the background.

    I could not get the HP site to work.

    Maybe they are trying to fix the problem.'

    If anyone has the number of someone working on this problem or could take down a list of names incase this does not work please share it as I would hate to loos this offer.

    1) The offer has reached it's quota
    2) We are having difficulties and will offer the 40% offer for the next 12 hours

    A lot of us are waiting for a caddy kit for the hdx18. I've got an extra 500 gig hdd sitting in an esata enclosure waiting to be installed. :/

    I think it's a driver issue, the sound drivers for this notebook desperately need to be updated. I get crackles pops on some of my songs whether they come through the speakers or my earbuds in the jack. that's most definitely a software issue because of course the songs sound 100% fine on my touch or 2nd gen iPod. (tried it out already) and my dv9700 for that matter.

    I have a 320GIG 7200RPM drive in my HDX right now. As soon as this caddy comes out, I am getting a secondary 500GIG drive.

    I currently carry around a 1TB external drive and it's just a pain......

    I actually have one Captcha screen open that's been submitted and "loading" for over an hour now. Maybe if I wait another hour the AJAX will kick in and I'll get redirected to HP.

    WELL, I just got past the CAPTCHA..... said my CASHBACK was active..... got re-directed to HP...... ordered my daughter a DV4T....... BUT, when I re-logged on LIVE.COM, my account showed nothing pending. I got a BAD feeling here! Does anyone know how long it takes to get some form of confirmation from Live.COM???

    Another concern I have, and this isn't just for the Xp tinker crowd, the EXTREMELY minimal bios control.

    Is this the same company that gave us adds with Jigga casually waving fingertips about and entire fortunes were made and lost, stadiums pivoted round, and I can't adjust nary a single bios setting?

All I know is I finally got beyond CAPTCHA, and to the point that it said my CASHBACK was active..... and then I was re-directed to HP to place my order..... SO, I DID! LOL!     California has very good consumer protection laws.
    Is there anybody who can push this up to the CA Attorney General and have them investigate this Microtrash scam?
    I hated MS already a lot but this made it even worse.
    I am fuming.

    Dont worry. You dont feel any better getting all the way to the "Thank You" Your Cashback is active screen. And then getting redirected to "Oops". That one hurt. And it happened multiple times.

    Yea it's gotten worse in the past hour. Nothing loads anymore. It goes directly to oops all the time now.

    I used 1800-642-7676, but I saw other numbers here also. Or maybe on fatwallet. Check out Hates BSOD's post on the last page.

    Man I really dont know. I know that cashback header is up there when your checking out. But, you probably can wait a day or so to see if it ends up showing up in your LIVE account tomorrow. Not much longer though, otherwise they'll send it to you and you'll have to return it. I hear its not fun.

    Oh unless you bought a quick ship laptop. Then you should cancel real quick. If you do that you may be screwed and end up like the rest of us, though. With no laptop, and no discount.

    Well, as soooo many others, I spent all day trying to log into live.com and make my way to the HP website so I could use my 40% cashback to buy an HP laptop. All I can say is that I wasted a whole day, in 15 seconds increments. MS has a lot to answer for this poor implementation. I don't think the consumer was impressed by their performance. Jeesh, what a huge waste of time... :mad:
