HP dv6t, dv7t Select Edition / Quad Edition (6XXX series) order status discussion

Generally, it's not a FedEx issue. HP fails to provide the necessary paperwork to get the shipment cleared. Mine and 528 other are still sitting in Memphis waiting on HP for the paperwork.

 

I believe in your prediction. I'm in CA, close time zone with Alaska, I guess I may get my baby tomorrow...

i had a question though, when you get 10% after a delay how do you get the money back? do they credit the bank account/CC directly, that you bought your laptop from? thanks

The thing is that it's only 2:04pm in Alaska right now... why can't they fly it out today? It's been released from Customs

 

You get the credit back on your account you used to buy it (cc, paypal, etc...). It happens immediately after your computer ships.

 

I finally got both of my credits refunded to my credit card. So at least they stuck to their word.

 

Ordered mine on the same day - with the same expected ship date. Mine also was sent out early - got my fedex tracking number and everything.

I'm happy that mine was shipped a week early, but I feel kind of sad for all of you other guys whose orders haven't been filled.

 

Is yours a dv7t or dv6t?

 

Only thing I can think is I ordered mine with the 160GB ssd 500GB 7.2k combo. *with the 33 percent off it was worth it. But I mean that configuration seems to not have sold a lot so it isn't like they should be short on the ssd .

They have 1 more day in my mind and then I am canceling. I really wish the sager equiv. didn't have optimus cause it would be an easy choice.

My second hypothesis was right. They are flying out the shipment tonight, sorting it tonight/tomorrow morning to midmorning, and delivering them as expected. We're in good hands everyone!

Wow order delayed again... Ordered on March 20, 2011. Delayed for the 4th time. This is getting on my nerves. New ship date is 5/6/2011.

 

Dang - Did you get another 10% off?

 

That's extremely abnormal... March 20 is really early.

i'm sooooo close to just completely flipping out on one of these people, specially this person giving me smarts @$$ answers. I'm happy to hear that many of you either have your computer on the way or already have it but it's so frustrating specially since i was one of those who ordered in march. Ordered a Dv7 8 gigs,, 1 gb GDDR% Radeon HD 6770M, i7-2820, 640 GB 7200RPM, and no bluetooth......

 

Today is another day that came and went, with no information on my laptop that was supposed to ship on the 26th. In two days it will be a month since I placed my order (I ordered on 3/29.) I thought all the laptops where beginging to ship but I guess i am unlucky. Does anyone who recently got a 3rd or 4th delay know if they are offering further discounts for more delays?

Also: I feel for all of the people who have earlier ship dates than mine and still haven't shipped. It is ridiculous that this isn't being run in a first-come first-serve method.

 

Not many dv7t's have shipped, if at all. It looks like all the dv6ts are going first.

Next time you chat with them answer there questions for them. Because you know they just type off the script. Its pretty funny.

Does anybody happen to know what time in china the fedex plane takes off to anchorage? IIRC they are 13 hours ahead of CST (Minneapolis).

Shows as shipped on 4/27/11, but tracking isnt showing up in fedex, which is normal if it just shipped. Didnt select the 2 days shipping

I know. But truthfully, I had just come into a new job recently with a fantastic quarterly bonus program! Basically, my little shopping spree with HP was more along the lines of say when you were a kid watching those saturday morning cartoons. When all of sudden you come across an ad for a sweepstakes at your local toy store (or something like that). Suddenly you just lose your mind thinking what if you won and what you would do if you had just five minutes to pick out anthing you wanted to fill that shopping cart. I had the cash. I probably will never again have this kind of opportunity and my wife was very supportive and onboard with my little resurgance of adolecense. So I got exactly what I wanted with all the "bells and whistles". I most likely could have saved close $500 to $1000 USD if I used eBay or purchase comparable third-party items. But hell... its only money and given the opportunity, I am sure (provided you had the means to comfortably do so) many would have done the same.

My DV6 is supposed to ship today and I don't think that it will.

 

Checked on my computer and it's stuck on a clearance delay in Alaska. Any word on how long is should be there? I know about a week ago some were stuck for over 3 days but I was hoping that recently times were shorter.

 

Well now...what do you know? HP just let me know the rascal shipped.

And I got two 10% discounts not because I asked for them, but because I demanded them. I am a computer contractor, and I cannot give my clients dates and have HP back out of them at the last moment. I look unprofessional and undependable, so I pass the savings on to my client(s) to help save face.

Errr...at least that is what I told HP. Same story I always use. Works like a charm.

OK, they were working on the 3/21 dv7s earlier this week, while simultaneously shipping the 4/10 dv7s. Now they're shipping the 3/26 and 4/11 dv7s.
When are they going to get around to shipping the 3/23 orders???

 

Ordered a dv6t on 4/2, original build date of 4/25, delayed now to 5/5.

 

Yeah, those 4/10 orders confused me a bit as well. I just figured there was a single component in my order (maybe the 640GB 7200 rpm drive...) that they were having a difficult time getting.

 

Clearance Delay lasted about 3 days for me.

One of the shipped 4/10 orders was identical to mine, except he ordered the 9 cell, and I ordered 9+6 cell. Makes me wonder if batteries are the bottleneck and they'd rather ship two computers with two batteries than ship one computer with two batteries. But if that were the case, why are they still offering two batteries for $60? They did drop the price of the 9 cell to $21, which makes the 9+6 less attractive at $60.

 

... then they could have shipped mine (just one 6 cell)
