How long Does it take HP to ship custom notebooks?

i just went back to the hp website and it says it takes about a week to build depending on what features you choose. also was wondering about the gps feature. saw it on hp's youtube channel

 

fedex tried to deliver my laptop this morning at 10:30 am. i wasnt home. ^%$&^*&@#

 

hp did not notify me that it had even been shipped, it still says that it is being built, i did not recieve a tracking number or anything.

 

that's weird. are you sure that's what it was? did you order a carepack? it might have been that.

 

hp sent me an email that it shipped and sent me the tracking number for fedex. now mine is in anchorage hope it doesnt get to cold. i wonder... if they still drop your package in front of your door when you're not home. thats what happened when i ordered a laptop but it got delivered by ups.

 

They wont. The package will have a signature requirement because of it's high value

 

My original order was supposed to ship on the 8th. Got a tracking number on Saturday and delivered today. I was quite impressed with the shipping time, especially since I choose the 5-7 day shipping. I think they build them and then hold them until a certain amount of them are competed and then they ship them all at once. Just my thought. I love my beats 14 but Im not too fond of the touchpad. But Im coming from a Macbook Pro... cant really complain or compare...

 

thanks for the feedback everyone. im typing on the hp laptop that i ordered. its integrated graphics is fine gives me about 25-30 fps so no need for the discrete graphics. the keyboard is fantastic and the soft touch feels nice. however the cover seems like a fingerprint magnet but maybe because my hands are a little sweaty. it does things pretty fast and the first boot was very quick. ive been using the laptop for about 5 hours and the battery is still running. there is quite a bit of bloatware but after you delete everything its fine. fedex is fast and came a day early

 

im jealous. my laptop was shipped back on the 1st but and got to Memphis on the 3rd but then it was stopped by Customs, apparently HP sent the wrong paperwork so it was sent back to China and has been sitting there for the past 2 days.

Fed "crap" Express has had my laptop sitting in Shanghai for almost 48 hrs now. My original delivery date when I first looked was Mar 1st! They now changed the date to Mar 4th. But I highly doubt it will come by then.

They are horrible and I have no faith in them!

It takes a day and a half for me to drive (36 Hrs).

Doh!!! I got the dreaded "Package received after FedEx cutoff" message for my dv6tqe.

HP's website showed that the laptop had shipped yesterday. Today I check the FedEx tracking number and unfortunately get the bad news. Estimated delivery date is now 3/7.

I had seen several posts from people on the East Coast getting theirs in 2 days....well, not me. Oh well.

 

My Hp dv6 is still stuck on the ground in Shanghai.

They have now changed the date for me to receive the package for the Third time!!. Originally i was to receive it on Mar 1st duh!!!! Idiots. My package is aproaching the 72hr mark to still be on the ground in #$##@$ China!

I will go out of my way to never use a company that uses fedex ever again.

But it says to me that it will arrive on the 7th of March CST.

 

What's so confusing?

I had seen people on the east coast (as I am) getting their laptops within 2/3 days from the shipping date. According to HP's site, my computer shipped on the 29th, so arriving on March 7 will be 8 days of shipping time. 8 days > 2/3 days, which is why I made my first post.

Yea that sucks wonder on how they plan on getting it to you in 2 days. It is probably on a flight from hong kong to memphis the fly to ur destination airport. It is probably on this flight:

Good call, lol. Fedex says my computer arrived in Memphis at 8:30 pm. Looks like they can make the 7th.

 

What kind of laptop did u get? Did u pay for 2 day shipping?

 

I ordered a DV6T quad edition. I did not pay for 2 day shipping. Good news though, my computer is out for delivery this morning (I'm in Virginia).

 

I ordered my Envy 17 on the 24th. On Friday, March 2nd I received a notice it had been shipped at 5am Shanghai time. However, as of Tuesday it is still showing as sitting at the Fedex origin in Shanghai.

Fedex still shows an estimated delivery date of Thursday the 8th, which would be 4 business days from the shipping date. Overall that's not too bad, although it's very irritating to see it just sitting "At local FedEx facility' for the past 4-5 days. I just want it to arrive so I can stop using my work Latitude at home, it must have the worst touchpad ever made.

 

That pisses me off I paid 40 for 2 day and today is the second day you got free 2 day (even though you got free shipping. FedEx has no reason not to deliver early for me it missed 4 flights to Minnesota it better come tomorrow.

 

Hello all I just registered because I felt the need to share something. I ordered a laptop dv6zqe on feb 27 which shipped march 1st. and since then it has gotten LOST...yes LOST. I called Hp today and they told me they cannot find it and somehow Fedex "mis-placed" it in the anchorage hub. Needless to say I will be calling for a refund and I will be spending my money elsewhere. I will NEVER buy from HP again. I suggest you all call to find out where your laptops are because had I not called I would have never been notified. BTW can anyone recommend a good gaming laptop for under $1300 us?

 

I think my order did begin the shipping process a day before yours did, but if you paid for 2-day shipping you should have still received by now (I think). Nonetheless, I hope you get it soon.

I'm typing from my new laptop now and so far it's great. Love it.

I'm not sure what site you're using for tracking, but make sure you use this one:

It's more accurate than Fedex's own site.

 

Hp refunded me for 2 day and FedEx said that my laptop is stuck in Memphis with 207 other shipments and hp has yet to sign off on the import. But hp said theydid

Been issued more than 200 dollars us in refunds and have been calling everyday still no resolution. were it not for the refunds I would have cancelled already

 

Sounds like my Envy 17 3D is stuck there with yours. Been there 2 days so far, and still in "Clearance Delay" status. It was originally to be delivered by 4:30 PM EST today.

 

Well, the status is now changed, as of 10:42- to international shipment release. Since it's Friday, I suppose this means it won't arrive until Monday now, even though it'll be at that local distribution center today sometime (might already have made it!).

 

Just talked to hp mine has been in Memphis 6 days. You might get it Monday they said Monday to tuesday.

 

I am glad to see I am not the only one whose laptop is stuck in TN

 

FedEx says there is 208 laptops stuck ther. Hp said that they are really strict about the batteries baecause they can explode in mid air.

 

The latest info says it's at the Fedex destination sort facility in Dulles, Va. That most likely means I'll get it Monday.
