Hp Laptop Still Stuck In Indianapolis ( Clearance Delay ) ?!!?!?

i just checked fedex and the current status say:

AT DEST SORT FACILITY, and is in jamaica,NY. i live like 30 minute drive away, you think theyll ship it by today?

and does fedex ship on sundays?

 

FedEX does have Saturday delivery, albeit at an additional charge, Generally speaking, if the tracking info doesn't show it as being "out for delivery" it's more than likely you get it on Monday, unless you decide to pick it up. I'd call ahead just to make sure, if you do.

FedEx no longer does Sunday deliveries.

 

Errific - I'm also about 30mins from Jamaica. But Jamaica is an unstaffed sorting point. It goes from Jamaica to Maspeth, then on the truck. Looks like monday for us.

Unfortunately, mine has been in Indianapolis since midnight Indy time (CST)? After reading what happened to you guys it appears that HP is doing a poor job with these shipments. I think this because they are not sending the paperwork with them hence why none are getting past US customs.

 

mine was shipped from China last Friday and arrived yesterday (Monday). I say they did a **** good job with shipping mine.

 

i got notification that mine was shipped out on monday, the 26th. scheduled to arrive on thursday march 1....lets hope this goes well...

though i wont be toooo heart broken if it takes a couple extra days cause i'll be out of town but it'll also give me a chance to work the CS folks at HP. i use to work in CS for netflix so ya learn a few tricks to get some money back LOL

Really? you had no clearance delay stuff? mine got shipped from china 5:10pm sunday there time (4:10 est).
update - a half hour ago it said international shipment release...what does that mean?

Now I'm dealing with the same thing, except for a replacement HP laptop for the one I had that failed (sent my old one in for repair over 6 weeks ago .. that's a whole other story)
Shipped 2/24.
In Indy since 2/27.
My "Case Manager" at HP said I should receive the laptop tomorrow, but its my experience he'll tell me whatever sounds good to get me off the phone. I am severely disappointed in the service I received from HP. The customs delay is just adding insult to injury.

 

Bah...my DV2000t is still stuck at customs since Friday morning.

Arrived in Indy since 2/2 at 3AM
Clearance Delay on 2/2 at 4AM.

Nothing has updated so far. =[

 

what "does left origin" mean?
and "received after fedex cutoff"?
that whats on my newly shipped dv2000t's tracking page..

 

well, a dictionary might lead one to understand that "left origin" implied when it, the package/item, left the point of origin. And "received after FedEx cutoff" would mean Fedex got the box/package but after a specified time of day stated in the service delivery time guarantee. So Fedex will treat it as if it was shipped the following day or it might arrive the same day as promised but later in the day. That depends of the service class.

 

mine is still in production... no idea when will it be released?

 

divine how long have they held yours up.. id be mad i mean they should think about the repercussions of keeping people waiting to long because consumers might look for other vendors if their not happy with the wait..

ordered feb 1, shipping promised feb 16.
1st Delay notice on feb 15 to feb 26, 2nd delay notice on feb 23 to March 16.
They delay like they don't give a s***. 2nd delay was 15+ days...can u imagine that. Once a delay of week is understood but two delay notices, 45+ days for shipping a rig..atrocious. This was my 1st experience with HP and even before I used the machine..I am disgusted...Never gonna use it again ever...

Arg...My laptop is suppose to be delivered today but 10:30AM and it still shows clearance delay. Now I have to call Fedex to see what the problem is. I'm leaving in two days for spring break too.

 

well they don't deliver weekends right.. so i guess they've only been able to work with it starting Monday since receiving it Friday.. hopefully it'll be out today.. mine says clearance delay twice but their both the same time.. what system did you order..

 

Ordered the DV2000t. It arrived in customs on Friday at 3AM...basically almost midnight of Thursday. Usually it takes only a day for clearance and if your unlucky then two days. I just called Fedex and the rep. told me that customs finally received the paperwork from HP this morning. So my clearance took three business days.

 

is the paper work a collective batch or just for each specific order?

 

I believe it should be by collective batch (bulk).

 

newegg order just came in, 1 gig ram,blank cds, wireless keyboarders,notebook cooler mat... piece of **** hp still has my notebook in clearance delay..

 

I had the same stuff happen with my NX I bought from a reseller in Canada. All the extras I bought here in the US got to me a good week before the laptop got to me...

it was just Customs delay and it was not even ordered directly from or shipped by HP. So I blame Customs...it helps me sleep better to blame SOMEONE.

 

Shoot, my new laptop case has been here since Feb 20th, my new Garmin GPS and MS 4000 Wireless mouse have been here since Feb 22nd, and my lappy still isn't here. I was tempted to load my GPS on my desktop just to mess with it some, but the lack of Bluetooth on it kinda takes away from the fun .

Ah well, it could be worse.

 

Mine is still in customs...4 full business days...and to top it off...a package that was delivered by USPS showed that it was delivered but I do not see it anywhere nor do I see the tracking slip in the mailbox. =[

Customs is for anything that is shipped from another foreign country. Customs is Homeland Security checking for drugs, weapons, etc.

I'm still disappointed though. My laptop was finally released at 2AM this morning but missed the cutoff. So it will be delivered tomorrow..what a hassle.

 

Well, I am typing this from my nice shiny new dv6000t. It was supposed to arrive tomorrow by 10:30AM, but I'll take it a day early. It left Shanghai on Monday ("missed cutoff") and arrived in North Carolina and at my shop on Wednesday... Not too shabby.

 

is the time on the tracking the time in Indianapolis or the same as the buyers..
So they let yours go nice after four day no less.. did you call them or did it just update? also did they miss your expected delivery or was the four days in the estimate on the tracking.. like mine says expected to be delivered 3/8/07 10:30 am..

When I went to bed last night it was in Indianapolis, and I figured I would have to wait with all the other customs delays I was seeing. But when I woke up this morning it had left Indianapolis, and arrived in NC already. When i checked at 9:30 it said the unit was on the truck, and it showed up 1/2 an hour later on a regular cargo van, not our normal delivery truck.

Boy, this is a beautiful rig too.

 

You lucky guys talking about shipping and all and my order is still "in production".

How long is actually a 2 day delivery of FedEx?? my shipping has been upgraded to 2 day..as if it makes a difference after 40+ day delay

 

I would think that it is the time at Indianapolis. I called Fedex and the lady told me they just received the paperwork, she was not able to tell me how long it would take for the paperwork to go through the process though but it only took a day. My expected delivery date was 3/6/07...and it will be out for delivery to me on 3/8/07..so they were two days past the expected date.

There are some lucky bastards that flies right through customs.

It's a direct number to Fedex Int. customer service. There will be no machine answering...it'll be an actual person that picks up the phone and says hello. They caught me off guard the first time i called because I did not have my tracking number pulled up yet.

 

hmm automated service gives me on route to a fedex in my zipcode, the person and website tell me it hasnt cleared customs..

No, seriously, I know it isn't funny... I don't understand how mine flew through Indianapolis (and presumably customs) in 2 hours and you guys are all stuck .

Called fed ex at 6 am pacific time.. the lady said its about 900 laptops that are in clearance delay because hp hasn't sent the paperwork for the shipment to clear us customs.. and that a fed ex upper up contacted them and their trying to resolve it as soon as possible.

 

900 laptops?? wow those are a lot of notebooks.. and they're all from HP.

Guess HP is selling well.
