Hp Laptop Still Stuck In Indianapolis ( Clearance Delay ) ?!!?!?

what number did you call?

 

Is it just the weather? or is it just a high volume of sales on there part?, should call i Fedex/HP for some compensation o.o, but probably it was 5-7 days from Dec 8. so i get nada.

my dv5t shipped december 9th (it was supposed to ship on dec. 8th) and now it's stuck in indy for clearance delay...

when i do a google search, it comes up with the HP brand a lot...doesn't HP learn anything?

sweet you know anything about Indiana? I ordered two laptops seperately and i got my first one yesterday.. they were BOTH suppose to arrive on the same day. Both Hps, same specs,... one got here faster then the other -.-

Edit: also my Fedex tracker stopped showing the estimated shipping date, is that bad?

 

hey i dont know anything about indy...but it doesnt show anymore because the estimated date went by already

 

My 2 computers were released from customs at 8:19 ET (Indianapolis).

 

Does Fedex do weekend shipping on standard shipments? Mine says 8:19 international Shipment release and I am hoping to receive it by saturday. It is in indy at the moment should be in california by tomorrow if it has been released.

 

mine was also released last night. it's here in my town but i don't know if it'll make it on the truck for delivery!

 

Mine was released right now, and it's on the truck for delivery riiiight now.

Now it's just a waiting game.

mine also left IN, but its going backwards

delivery is supposed to be WI, but it went from Indiana -> Tennessee...

 

Apparently, FedEx drivers are illiterate.

I saw the truck drive right past my house.
Two minutes later "Delivery exception."

I called, they said the driver said my address did not exist.

They said thy're going to call him to send him back, but I'mma give it another 10 minutes before I call in angry again.

This has been such a stupid experience.

wow, you guys still don't have your laptop yet? when did you order?

Blackfriday order from HP was so bad. I did not realize that shipping is even worse.
I ordered mine on Blackfriday and got it last Tue.

I don't understand why it didn't have any customs delays while in Alaska.. If I don't get it by the 18th I'm going to be very upset.

 

mine shipped out on the 11th and has been stuck in indy since the 13th... is anyone else in my shipment that knows what's going on?

I contacted fed ex and they said my shipment is stuck here because of insufficient paperwork from Shanghai. I then called HP and the guy that answered immediately connected me with a supervisor who said they are aware of the situation and are working with fed ex to get the paperwork to them. She said once it leaves customs it will be at my door within 24 hours.

When will it leave customs.. who knows. I'm over being upset.. at this point I just hope it gets here at all.

 

How long do the bulk of HP orders take? I ordered mine the 11th and am hoping to get it before Christmas. How long ago did you guys order yours, and were they customized models or prefab. Mine is a customized model from HP online.

 

I ordered mine Dec 1, it shipped Dec 9..

 

Ordered mine on dec 3, shipped on the 11th... now if only it would get here from indiana it would be nice.

 

called fedex and hp to find out what is going on... still not entirely sure when it will be resolved... the same missing paperwork issue that was stated in previous posts. hp said that they are giving a 10% discount (order subtotal) for orders stuck in customs due to this problem... just call them once you receive your laptop... we shall see what happens. he guaranteed it would be here by xmas eve.

well, i got it, but it has the wrong processor in it. im so annoyed.

 

i have had to pay for mine to be forwarded to me in europe.. i fear mine will be messed up as well.

Wow, sorry to hear it came with the wrong CPU, make sure you get some kind of upgrade for free if you have to send it back again. You deserve it, haha.

Ill be sure to post how long it takes to get mine and if all the parts are right. I keep checking the configuration status and it has been stuck on the wave (picking process) stage since I ordered it the 10th. Im hoping they just dont update that page and that my laptop is getting ready to ship tommorow like its supposed to...We will see.

 

the people at hp seem to have no recollection of any "credit" that the guy told me about over the phone the other day... make sure if anyone tells you that they are giving you a credit you get their name and "make sure they document it in your file" as the guy just told me today... wow hp... didn't expect that from them.

 

This is an old thread but as all of the threads I found on this were old, I will still post this for the benefit of people like me searching for info on the infamous clearance delay problem. This is still happening. I ordered a laptop and it made it from China to Alaska in one day. Then it went into clearance delay where it has set unmoved for a couple of days. According to Fed Ex my laptop is part of a shipment of 744 that were lacking the necessary paperwork from HP to clear customs. "As soon as the paperwork arrives from HP to Fed Ex, it will be presented to customs and hopefully be on its way. Amazing that with all the computers HP brings in from China every week, that they can't get the paperwork right the first time.

Apparrently, mine is stuck (clearance delay) at Anchorage, AK since 8PM last night as well...

I called HP concern that they should do something with the paperwork to speed up the release... the dude name Chuck (refuse to give me his last name) told me their shipping policy is 5-7 "business day" so.. pretty much something like "holdon to your horses... and don't bug us until the 7th "business day" is up. That would be Nov 1st by the way, it is shipped on the 23rd.

I'm working against a schedule and I need to have it ASAP, didn't really expect this delay; otherwise, I would pay to get it ship sooner... but I doubt if that helps since I have the feeling that there's a good number of PCs being hold if ship with in the last 7 days.

To those exeriencing a Fedex clearence Customs delay due to HPs failure to send in the proper paperwork.

I talked and they said the paperwork is done and is in the process of being..processed (possibly by customs).

I called HP and complained and they transfered me 2 times, and told them the date i was expecting it and that it is hps fault for not sending in proper paperwork, and on top of that i had to wait 15 days for it to get made.

They kind lady on the telephone gave me 80 dollars off my computer

so call, and complain!
