BTW the bars are pretty cool too -
I redid all the bars since for some reason they were not 300px wide. They are fixed and I made a few more enjoy!

Nice XP2, any chance you can make one for Elitebooks? I don't really like mine that much.

I'll quietly sneak in and steal one now... I have 2 HP notebooks, although one is a Compaq from before they were bought out, ah well.
Go go Compaq N600c and HP HDX 18? -

Guys, I am new here and I am setting up a notebook for the first time. Just did the basics with Windows 7, installed some software and browsed the notebook. But I am having doubts regarding the WLAN and LAN devices. If I type "HP Connection Manager", for example, nothing comes up in the search in the entire forum, so, I am going to ask here to see if anyone can help.
My notebook came with the basic setup and I have no idea which is the purposes of "Intel My WiFi Technology" and "HP Connection Manager". With Internet Explorer I can access my router, which is recognized at the WiFi connections at the task bar, but a window pops up saying that I need to set up a device when I try opening Safari. And I don't know where to begin with.
HP Connection Manager seems to be a software that needs installation. I don't want to install it until I know that I really need it. And Intel My WiFi Technology opens a window asking me to add a device and gives me some options. I have no idea what that means and the options looks like written in a language from outer space. How come I have to add and set up a device if I am already connecting to the internet?
I just want to set up properly my WLAN and LAN devices. No need for mobile connection right now. So, there are two options and no information at all, in manuals and the web, if I need them, if I have to set one of them or even both of them. Too confusing...
Well, any help will be greatly appreciated. My specs below:
Pavilion dv4t / Windows 7 Home Premium 64-bit / i5-2430M / Intel 802.11b/g/n WLAN.

I found this: http://forum.notebookreview.com/hp-envy-hdx/628126-what-hp-connection-manager.html
But, still, it only talks about bluetooth and I think that the connection manager does more than that, but I am not sure. -
I got two videos about Intel® My WiFi technology. Now I know that I don't need to set it up to use the internet. It is an Intel feature that has nothing to do with the way that I access the internet. I thought it would be good to post it here for people like me, looking for help.

Here's about the HP Connection Manager.
It wasn't showing in the search using "HP Connection Manager", but using "connection manager" and some other word that I don't recall did the trick.

I have joined my faithful friends but my name is etched to my bones so can't change it even though I will always love Sony VAIOs(for their most desirables designs and amazing screens) & use for personal usage but I have now joined the Elite legion for my business needs.
